I just got a Medieval Madness in. I have not gone through it but i can tell you it really needs to be restored. Playfield has a lot of wear, plastics are broke & some wrong ones installed, cabinet has a lot of wear around the flipper buttons.

I am very open to trade offers with cash either way to make a deal work.

Here is a link to pictures.

Did you happen to notice how many plays were on it???

^ I would definitely like to know this too.

Looks like a hell of an awesome project for someone. If anything, this could be the best before/after restore pics ever, haha!

I'm curious to see what this goes for, I hope the buyer or seller will tell us once the deal is complete.

Would love to get this thing!!! I love projects like this

#9 11 years ago

I've always wanted a MM....this may be the only one within my reach.

#11 11 years ago

Did you have to shoot the previous owner to get him of the machine ?
Looks like that's been played 24/7 since the day it's been build.

#12 11 years ago

Another thread just started looking for MM trading Tron and LOTR.

You guys should talk.

That's the good thing about DiamondPlate, stuff lasts forever.

I think that diamond plate was probably used as a drink holder for 6-9 years

#19 11 years ago

Looks like someone used sandpaper to clean the pf can't believe how worn that thing is

#20 11 years ago

^ Haha right? Seriously "Hey maybe it's time to get this playfield taken care of...Nah F it let's keep playing" I guess MM's that good.

#21 11 years ago

I love this MM! look at all the love its been shown... Pinheads played the damned thing until
their fingers bled

The next time you see a post saying MM is just an average game look again at the pics of this
Machine very few average games see this kind of action.

#22 11 years ago

The apron looks nice... On the other hand, at least new playfields and side decals are available. Someone may have to spend quite a bit on parts, but there is a lot of potential there.

#23 11 years ago

It looks like theres a cliffy in the Merlin hole. am I right?

#24 11 years ago

A little wax and a couple of cliffy's and that can be a $15,000 MM.

#25 11 years ago

There is nothing a little elbow grease can't fix. I know a guy who can buff that sh*t out.

#26 11 years ago

wow that game saw a lot of plays, seems like the playfield is shot or can it be repaired?

how much is it worth in this condition?

#27 11 years ago

I answered all the Pm and emails, if for some reason you didn't get a reply let me know.

You guys had me cracking up reading the comments about the sandpaper, fingers bleeding, and others

Quoted from maf-mi:

(not a true statement) seems like it showed 28 plays, I was told it was huo, only played on leap year by an old lady

Pretty sure previous owner got a lifetime of play out of it and was glad to see it go

I've never seen so many MM's up for sale and move at this pace ever. The past month has been one MM after another. I think it is good to see them cycle around so much.

5K by Christmas!

Alot of MB have changed hands lately also

And a month or two before that there were tons of AFMs trading hands.

#33 11 years ago

Were the sandpaper coated balls still in it?
Good luck, and hopefully someone gets a fun project to work on.

A little update:

The game does boot up and work. There are several things that would need to be fixed to be fully playable. A pop bumper is broke, couple switches not working either needs adjusting or something , castle gate is complete but the arm needs a new clip attaching to the motor, dmd is a little weak, maybe a few other things as i didn't spend much time going over every detail.

The cabinet is solid but needs paint/decals.

It is a great game for a full restore. If i were keeping it i would address a few issues and just tear it down and put a new playfield in and new decals.

any chance you want to let us know how much it went for?

I am curious as well. I would guess around 6K.

#43 11 years ago

I am very curious, I thought my offer would have been close. It was not

what was you offer?

#45 11 years ago

5k, I was expecting 6500 as a counter. I was told it would take 5k and atleast a top pin (A) or two non top pins on top of the 5k. I didnt bother responding.

#46 11 years ago

5k + a top (a) pin... lollllll

that playfield is shot, 5k alone is already a great price!

#47 11 years ago

This is a 8k pin minimum... just because it need a new playfield doesn't mean anything.

#48 11 years ago

8k plus the playfield, 1k, plus all the wire forms and replating to be done, plastic set, misc parts etc. add another 1500. You would be at 10500 for this game with out the cost of time or labor. If this machine is 8k I have some MMs here that must be worth 10k as they sit.

#49 11 years ago

at 8k and up you starting to look at people who want the game to be up and running in their house. One of us who do this as a hobby and invest time in it would not spend 8k on something like this unless you are lazy and refuse to actually look for pins out there. Two of the MMs I picked up in the last year were 4500 and 5k. They are out there boys, just look.

That's right... It doesn't matter if its a little worn or a lot worn. When most restore MM they replace all that stuff anyway. Once its done and done right its a $16k PLUS pin... so $10,500 plus your time is dirt CHEAP!

Sure they on... on special at WalMart.
