Seems to me both optos on either side of the moat work on switch testing and during normal game play (as hits on the gate register 100%). It is very possible I do not understand what switch(s) need to be activated to "blow up" the castle. Thanks.
The microswitch to left after the ball drops out of the back of the castle should be the problem.
For the castle to blow up both the opto at the gate and the switch need to see the ball.
