Quoted from lpeters82:

I don't go to that many games, but I haven't noticed this attendance problem. Likewise, the only time I've noticed visiting fans in droves has been with the Cubs. It seems to me that perhaps as a Cubs fan your perception of the Brewers is distorted by those few games. If attendance is really a problem, I expect there are about 50-75% of teams that would love to have the same problem as the Brewers.

Yup. Brewers attendance this year was 10th out of 30 teams. The Twins were there once. Now, they're 20th.

Quoted from lpeters82:

Have you ever had any issues at Brewers / Twins games?

Anytime the Brewers play the Twins, I swear half of Target Field is Brewer's fans. True story...twice as much beer is purchased when the Brewers are in town than any other ball club.

A couple of years ago, we had 4 Brewer's fans sitting next to us. It was a back and forth game and we gave each other shit everytime the lead changed. All in good fun. Had more fun at that game than most.

Quoted from lpeters82:

I've been a Twins fan for much of the 2000s. Paul Molitor is still probably my favorite athlete of all time.

The Twins obviously didn't think that much of him as a manager. He was let go today with one year left on his contract.

Quoted from Whysnow:

That was clean base running combined with a baseman leaving his foot on the plate. Just baseball as far as I am concerned.

Did you seriously watch the same game I did? The play was nothing earth shattering but totally uncalled for on Machado's part. Machado is one of the best infielders in baseball today. The sad part is, he knows it. His attitude may eventually end him up on the most disliked players list someday. Nothing worse than great players with an ego.

Quoted from Whysnow:

Runner was on a straight line and did not divert. He drug his foot over the top of the bag. Bag belongs to the runner, it is that simple.

Again, not sure what game you watched. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

I've been rooting a bit for the Sox. They've had the best record in baseball and are playing like they know it.

However, I see the Dodgers have Brian Dozier leading off tonight. He's one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Needless to say, he had his best year ever with the Twins a couple years ago and hasn't done all that well since. I'd love to see him do well just to show the Twins what they gave up.
