Is there a more racist mascot still around in 2017?
Even the way the character is drawn is so sterotyped it is sad. I am amazed that the team has not at least rebranded the character.

Is there a more off topic post in this thread?

Just ignore him. He's another one of those those... better not say it since the mods will be all over me. He just thinks he's actually making things better when in reality people like him make things much worse... what a waste.
With the Indians starting pitching all healthy this year, I like our chances. It should be a fun playoffs, a lot of good teams made it with some of the biggest names in the sport (sorry Trout! Maybe next year!)
Quoted from jints56:Want Cubs, but think the tribe takes it.
Nah, the Nationals will win it just like the Caps do every year.
The NY Yankees seem to have it all. Great starting pitching, power, speed, defense, great bullpen and some of the best young players in baseball. They will be tough to beat. Judge is great but look out for Gary Sanchez to emerge.

I've always admired their classic uniforms.
Gotta look good! The rest will follow.

Quoted from YZRider926:You forgot the redskins too. Also just wanted to to say not the Nats. Hopefully they prove me wrong.
At least the Redskins don't tease us every year.
Quoted from DCFAN:At least the Redskins don't tease us every year.
They teased us last night. In the first half their defense looked like the dominating force... until they ran out of gas and started dropping like flies.

Yeah they looked really good in the first quarter. I didn't expect them to be able to keep it up, and didn't expect them to beat the Chiefs. Still no were near a contender, but looking better, although not saying much for the skins.
Also agreed the Skins don't really tease us, more of just being a hometown fan of the team and working with people that root for other teams from out of the area. They love picking on Skins fans like we think every year is their year.
Quoted from MustangPaul:The Twins play NY tonight....we'll see how that goes.
3-0, going great so far.
That Aaron Judge kid..he's pretty good. With nfl going on, hockey about to start, nascar w their playoff format happening..and of course tonight w the wild card starting..this is thee best time of year for sports..
Quoted from jmountjoy111:I don't know much about hockey but last years mlb playoffs were about as good as it gets. Not just because I'm a cubs fan. All those come backs and games 7s were pretty awesome
Hockey game 7 and sudden death overtime’s blow it away in hockey.
Quoted from o-din:When was the last time a champ repeated? Without looking it up....
The Pittsburgh Penguins in hockey

Thanks, I meant in the MLB. Last was the 2000 Yankees and a threepeat.
I went to bed with the Diamondbacks up four runs and woke to a crazy game, lol. When will the pitching show up?
Indians are on a mission.
Won't take no for an answer this year.
Victory was in their grasp last year until
that amazing double comeback by the Cubs.
They remind me of KC a couple of years back.
They got within 1 run of taking down the Giants.
Then the following year, on a mission.
Went all the way as they slapped
the Mets and their vaunted starting rotation, 4-1.
Indians take it all...finally.
Quoted from Blitzburgh99:Astros. MLB will make sure Houston gets a feel good story after Harvey broke so many hearts
Just like when the Saints won the Super Bowl after
Katrina.
Yanks victory over the Twins not quite the warm up that they had hoped for.
What a comeback!
Said it before:
Indians are on a mission.
Go Tribe!
I have the Indians going all the way in my bracket. I think the Yankees have a shot but I hate them since I'm a mets fan. The dogers are overrated in my opinion. The Nats have a great team but little playoff experience. If not the Indians I can see the Astros or Cubs.
'Stros are darn good. Tribes biggest threat.
Just can't imagine the Cubs repeating.
Your dead on with L.A.
Washington could very well be the best team to never win a play-off series.
Quoted from xfassa:White Sox!!! Oh wait, still a few years away....
No White Sox this year so I go AL Central (Tribe and Twinkies).
My man!! We'll be all over this thread in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022.
As a huge baseball fan who's team is out of it I can only hope the playoffs approach the level of last year. Fantastic baseball. The Indians have looked unstoppable the last few months and are my pick to win in all. Hoping for Indians/Astros, Chi or Wash/LA ALCS NLCS matchups as they should be epic.
Quoted from o-din:Dodgers right where they want to be.
So are the Cubs. Watch out Dodgers!

That said, the Dodgers have looked good thus far. I hope it doesn’t last.
And to think that the dodgers were gonna potentially get rid of Puig..their bats r on fire, and Turner continues to impress. Kenley shutting the door when he has to..D.Roberts is doing a good job behind the bench..

Overrated?! Please..
Indians come on
well my buddy had an extra ticket to the game tomorrow. So I get to go, I just hope we win.
The Astros have the best chance they have ever had...pitchers should be rested and ready to go. This is the first time they are a legit contender to win the World Series. Either way they have good young talent and could be tough for years to come.
