Quoted from Hayfarmer:

We were planning on taking a trip to a state we've never been to to see godsmack or 5fdp. Thx covid

Godsmack is so good live too

We had tickets to see Shinedown at a local music festival in August 2020. That was cancelled (obviously) and now is scheduled for August this year, but I am really doubting if it's going to happen. If it does I will go. Fear doesn't stop death, it stops life. You can do tings and be careful and responsible, but that's a conversation (opinion, argument) for another thread.

With all you have been through, you should be able to do whatever the hell you want to man.

The Shinedown show went off without a hitch last night! Was great to be at a concert again. They seemed very happy to be on stage too. Sounded great, great weather too!!!

Where was this at Chris?

This was at Musikfest in Bethlehem.

bobukcat - no restrictions. Concessions were open, the place was packed. This is an outdoor venue so maybe indoor stuff would be different but it didn’t seem that way from the buildings we did go into.

I know your photo is from the "simulated lighter" light show of phone flashlights but it did make me think that one restriction at live shows I'd be in favor of has nothing to due with any virus- it's people recording the show with their damn phone held up in front of them! Enjoy the moment, the lousy video you take on your phone is no replacement for it!!

I agree to a point too. before they did one song, Enemies, the singer stopped everyone and told them to put away their phones and just enjoy the moment. Was great.

I recorded one song but I was out of the way and tried to not be annoying. But yeah, sometimes you have to enjoy the show for real and not through a phone.

Saw puddle of mud last weekend at an outdoor venue in PA. It was a great time!. Also saw Get The Led out last month. It was also a very good show. I missed hearing live music last year.

We saw Puddle of Mudd at Musikfest one year and holy cow were they entertaining. I'm pretty sure the singer was totally wasted, but they put on a great show! LOL

I've been to a couple of outdoor concerts in large open settings. Tonight I'm going to my first show that is in a small club type venue. I'm a little nervous but I'm still looking forward to it. Should be a lot of fun.

Who ya seeing?

Quoted from HFK:

Last Monday the wife took me to see Hall & Oates. They were good but the opening act absolutely killed it.[quoted image]

Squeeze was the opening band?! I thought they would have been a headliner.

Starting next month over in England Squeeze is on tour with Madness, really wish this show would come over here.

That show should be "One Step Beyond"!

Saw Disturbed last week. They did not disappoint.

Quoted from Nhpolarbear:

I’ve noticed at the shows I’ve recently attended ( 750< Capacity ) have not been sell outs. I’m curious to hear if it’s just here in New England or other areas? It appears that the large national and international acts are sellouts? Pent up demand or stay away because of the virus? Comments welcome. Thanks.

All the shows I've been to (with the exception of a local cover band) since shows have started back up have been full.

Shinedown, Imagine Dragons, Disturbed, MercyMe - all full arenas. Most of the bands I like don't play venues under 750 but damn I wish they did!
