Stern, 2009I need help deciding which one is most impressive and practical...Money is no object... I want to buy the blades but even the guy from pinballdecals said not too and I spent a lot with him on this game. He said it will not fit well and will scratch? Others I've read said he's wrong? I'm confused but today I just looked at Pinballlife and saw their decals. I like both really but wanted to hear from others with experience on this issue. Thanks for helping
I believe you have to remove your playfield to install the decals but not so with the blades. I also believe the decals get torn and ripped over time.
It depends on how much of a gap you have between the sides of the cabinet and the playfield. If your pf is already scratching your cabinet, then the blades and decals will get torn up instantly. Also, check to ensure there are no screw heads or washers sticking out past the side edge of the playfield, particularly along the top of the black wooden rails.
Gold mirrors for LOTR. The only way to go.
