Here are three pics of a Mirco FH playfield swap I did for an op friend of mine. He sent me these pics after about a week's worth of play. While it looks minro now, I guarantee you it will get much worse.

Ron has covered this before in his dedicated thread, I don't remember the details and am not at all well versed in all the proper terms but IIRC he basically removes some / all of the Mirco clear and then does his detailed, multi-step re-clear with curing between coats, etc. I understand your point about the art potentially still pulling up BUT if the clear on top never cracks / chips it can't really pull the art work up with it.
