Quoted from jq-pinner77:

Just got a gorgar from him sent from Germany playfield has a 3/32nd bow / dip in the middle was told this was perfectly normal and would go flat after installed never heard of this before
[quoted image][quoted image]

It will go flat. I had a whirlwind that had a much greater bow than that. After sitting for a few months, the bow was less than half of when I received it. The clear was likely still curing. The remainder of the bow pulled in with the siderails.

Quoted from chad:

Has anyone recieved their playfield with in the last 3-4 weeks.? How do they look? Thinking of getting a playfield , but am concerned...

i ordered a scared stiff playfield last sunday. and receive it this week. will let you know when I receive it

Quoted from Onwallst:

The OP is just complaining in their eyes.

True, but I dont care. As long as I redirect only ONE sale from Mirco to ANY other manufacturer or manage to redirect only ONE BUYER to buy from a reseller who buying from Mirco for less than a direct end customer I'm losing him revenue. And in lack of any other leverage, this is giving me satisfaction. Because he's ONLY about money and whether he posts here or not it's bugging him.

Just add up the views of this thread. Think on any assumed fraction of potential buyers and assume a fraction that make the purchase differently. It adds up to a damage to him greater than admitting his fault on bad product any paying for return shipping like any decent human being would. Not much, but a bit. As a reminder of who he is.

This is how bad conduct causes more loss than admitting to fault. As long as ANYONE posts here occasionally, this headline stays up and does its job. I can afford the loss. I just don't take shit ithout dealing shit back. Chicken, horse or bull.

#154 3 years ago

This thread (*and others); have convinced me never to buy a Mirco PF...
And TBH; I'm not buying a JJP NIB because they use Mirco for some or all of the PFs.
So; really - the only way to fix this is for him to sell his business to a new owner who cares and resolves these issues. I don't see that happening; so I'll just keep restoring my games with CPR PFs or doing my own touch ups.

Quoted from chad:

Yes, two AFM playfields and they were 100% perfect.

#156 3 years ago

Just ordered a Sorcerer, will post back once I get it mounted - will take me a few months I expect.

#157 3 years ago

I don’t question or doubt the stories being told in this thread but my experience with Mirco playfields are different.
I have seen plenty of them and so far, I have only seen one which was not perfect and that was an early one many years ago.
Given the amount of problems a major manufacturer like Stern are having with their playfields I think Mirco are given unproportionally bad rap.
But I do agree that the return policy leaves a bit to desire for those indeed having issues.

#158 3 years ago

Sounds like you're defending a company blindly.
Mirco has a bad rap for a reason. "these aren't the droids you're looking for" isn't a valid business strategy... even in a galaxy far, far away.

#159 3 years ago
Quoted from Zitt:

No, I am simply stating my experience with Mirco.

#160 3 years ago

hereby my review. i have never ordered from mirco playfields. this is the first time. the mail contact was smooth and correct also when I asked him critical questions about what was written about him on forums. ordered on Sunday and delivered today. the field was neatly packed. I have taken a good look at my field, but it is a wonderfully beautiful playfield. it is not crooked holes where they should be clearcoat is tight. so for me personally plus 1

Quoted from Bundy:

No, I am simply stating my experience with Mirco.

I'm happy to provide my contrary experience in detail to prove not every experience is rosy. Mirco is a fucking ass clown! I'm sure more people have had positive than negative experiences, but the gap between the two seems to be significant. When shit hits the fan, Mirco is not someone to be replied upon. It's great if you've had a positive experience as he does offer an important service to the pinball community, but there will be plenty here screaming "we told you so" the day things don't go so well for you.

Doesn't mirco supply stern with those very playfields?

#163 3 years ago

It's been reported that micro himself stated he doesn't supply stern.

Quoted from jq-pinner77:Just got a gorgar from him sent from Germany playfield has a 3/32nd bow / dip in the middle was told this was perfectly normal and would go flat after installed never heard of this before
[quoted image][quoted image]

I installed a Gorgar this past May and have a playfield protector on it. I have 14 machines so it gets minimal play. Today I noticed pooling on all of the posts on the flipper guides as well on the posts at the top of the return lanes. I also have clear chipping on the extra ball hole and in the drain. I wish now I would have waited and went the hardtop route or restored my old one. I think some of the issues are the edges are sharp and when a ball hits it, it cracks. I am going to try the “hot iron” repair on the pooling and smoothing the sharp edges in the drain/hole to try and stop the issue. Funny thing is my CPR EATPM swap has had at least 1000 plays and not one clear issue.

#165 3 years ago

Sorry to hear about this. Did you already post pics on this one?

No I was able to take some tonight tho. I added washers and got them just snug enough which I did in the first place but I hope this is the end of it. I also sanded the edges of the through and hole. There has been a cliffy on the hole since day 1 but not covering 100% you can see the chipping. Oddly none of my star posts have pooling so fingers crossed it holds up.

Sorry to hear this and that is what worries me if I buy a micro playfield.....

Quoted from jq-pinner77:

it's not that we don't like the product it's that it's defective,I would think if you got a defective product you paid for it you would want the seller to pay for return shipping and send a correct item with no defects

My point is, what is truly "defective"? I've seen posts where people call a replacement playfield "defective" because it doesn't have the same amount of glitter in the paint, or because the shade of color is very, very slightly different. There are no real defects there, it's just a little different. Obviously, I'm not talking about reproductions with poorly done or missing art. For whatever reason, this hobby is full of OCD, anal-retentive people who will complain and label something "defective" over the tiniest things, and expect the vendor to pay for the return shipping.

#171 3 years ago

Pooling / Soft clear is not a tiny thing.
Lifting inserts same.
mis drilled holes.
You get the idea.

Also; given these PFs are +1000 USD ... being anal-retentive is completely understandable. These are being sold at a premium; it's not unexpected that the support comes with a premium as well.

#172 3 years ago
Quoted from Zitt:

Yup. Those are all big problems.

Less glitter in the paint than an original, or a very slightly different shade of color is not. You should still be able to return it if you are unhappy, but the vendor shouldn’t be expected to pick up the return shipping.

[quoted image][quoted image]

Actually that is pretty normal. I’ve installed nos pf’s worse than that and they were fine.

Hell, safecracker restoration I did had enormous pf bend. Had to install rails to straighten it. 1/4-3/8 inch hump in middle.
Straight as an arrow after assembly.

Well, your pf is obviously light diffused and out of focus. I’d call Mirco immediately!

#175 3 years ago

This was on my porch today.
Never thought I'd see this pf done.
Thank you, Mirco.

Hi. Does any one got a Dracula playfield from mirco? I’m thinking in replace mine. Mine is about 9 of 10 But I would prefer 10 of 10. Like most of my games. Thank you

#180 3 years ago

I just recently refurbished a funhouse inside and out. I used a Mirco playfield. It’s 100% perfect.

#181 3 years ago
Quoted from Santis:

:faceplam:
Read Post #1.
if you have a 9/10 PF that is ORIGNIAL; don't even bother to replace it with a inferior mirco.
The clear coat will be junk even if the art and CNC is perfect.
Seriously; unless you have a badly damage PF - there is no reason at all to chance a Mirco PF.

#182 3 years ago

Zitt I want kind of thinking like you. And now for sure. I’ll keep the original. I recently replace a Cirqus Voltaire playfield the old was 8 out of 10. But I got a NOS playfield. And it looks and play the way I want Nice as Nd fast. Thank you for your opinion.

Then who does?

There is a recent Youtube video of a tour of the new Stern factory. They now make cabinets and playfields in house. It's shown in the video tour although only briefly.

Playfields were great! Love their Radcals.

My Hobbit, Wonka, and Dialed In also have great playfields.

NONE are over $1000. People outside of Germany do not pay the VAT fees.

I bet you never even bought One if you are saying that.

I have ordered Four the past few years and none, including BK2000 and TZ were over $1k.

These are being sold at normal prices.

Whatever dude; after you add shipping fees and the like it doesn't matter.
I really don't care that you are a Mirco FanBoi; People have problems... he dismisses those problems and tells them to deal with it.
Your comments are suspect as a plant / second account. But maybe that's just me.

Actually, I think he's inferring that since the playfields are NOT a premium product, support (AND QA of said playfields) can be shit. Which it is, and fits his theory there.

You never ordered or installed a Micro playfield. You "opinion" means jack-sheet.

I have tried all playfields and by far Micro is the best. Restored well over 30 pins.

Go post in a thread with some topic you actually have experience with, eh?

[Removed]. Even without vat most of his playfields end up being around or over $1000 US dollars. For every one of you there are 2 others complaining about his product. For you to get on here and trash someone and you are the one who is wrong. With the exception of a few playfields most are around $1000 or over.

MiRCo. Not MiCRo. Mirco. Mirco.
Micro is 0.00001.
Price of Mirco playfield here is equal to $1200.

Seriously, my opinion is totally valid. It's you who need to rethink being a tool or shill.
