Same for me… I briefly owned a GNR and it started pooling. I put on cliffs fixes to take care of it but it definitely soured my opinion of JJP.

Yes, used the carbon fiber. Seemed okay but I only had it for a month after I put the fixes on. Not sure how it held up long term.
