Hoping this is the right spot to post this. A bit of backstory and my question(s):
I'm having a game shipped from west coast out east. I've done the same before in the last year with NAVL/STI without issue.
This time around I got my quote and delivery date which was today- 1/24. STI's tracking has shown that it was sitting at the final delivery company's warehouse since 1/18. It's about 120 miles away from me. I called STI and they put me through to that company.
They told me that they didn't have it scheduled today. I pressed and said I have the paperwork that says otherwise. I then got the apologies and excuses (they are using a new system, etc.) but they would get it out Monday.
My major issue is that I burned the day waiting and now I have to the same Monday. Today we have perfect weather and now Monday has snow. I was told per the agreement that today was delivery, so they should be responsible and held to that.
So here's my questions:
Has anyone had this happen before? How did you deal with it?
Do I call Judy at NAVL/STI and complain to try to get the delivery reduced considering it was the regional company's error and now it's costing me time?
Any insight is appreciated!
