    Hello,

In the middle area of the motor board is a 10-pin jack with a 4-pin shorting plug. This shorting plug is required for replay operation.

This jack will accommodate an Add-a-ball relay, likely ordered separately by the operator, required for Add-a-ball operation.

Is this jack also needed for replay at certain scores?

    Please advise and thanks!

Have you gone through the instruction manual on IPDB.org? There are a couple of pages on game adjustments.

    MarkG,

Yes, I guess the replay is not working on my machine.

    MarkG,

Looking at the schematic, there is not much on the “Shoot Again” or Replays. There is a lot on the schematic for AAB, and it jumps around a lot on the schematic itself.

Looking at the feature instructions on the Installation and General Operation Instruction, yes there are options for replay; however, I don’t see anything as to what color Jones wire goes into which plug.

I do have the high-score jumpers set in the backbox.

    Any ideas?

The four pin jack you mentioned for replay I suspect is two pairs of jumpers highlighted in red below:

They would be required for the Ball Count and Match functions to work.
For the high score to award a replay level there's another adjustment that needs to be in the correct position:

The jones plugs to set the high score replay level are in the red box, along with their wire colors. The wire colors of all the possible replay level scores are on either side of the red box.

    MarkG,

Thanks for the help. Tried and doesn’t seem to work. I think I need to build the AAB relay for either AAB or Replay to work.

This is a shameless bump. If you would like an AAB relay for this game I happen to have one for sale that was built for a Mini Zag. The game this was meant for got sold without it. It has been tested and works properly. It should work for other games from this era that will accommodate the AAB relay.

I'd be surprised if you need the optional AAB relay to get replay to work.

    MarkG,
Still no luck. I did make an AAB relay for less than half the cost of the one on sale. It did lock on a couple of times and bypassed the 5 ball limit and didn’t end the game.

I guess I will pull the main board and try to track the wiring for continuity.
