There's a whole series of these with a change machine to power them.

Quoted from Luckydogg420:

I have to admit I don’t like the control panel on SF2, and the other games released haven’t been favourites of mine, so I haven’t bought any of them.
BUT, once you set them all up together with the change machine it looks really, really cool. There need to be a cigarette vending machine added too at some time. Ya know, to get that 80’s look.
Edit. I think I saw that polybuis will be their next Kickstarter, the game doesn’t play, it’s just a charger I think.
[quoted image][quoted image]

I think polybius was an April fool's joke?

I think these things are pretty cool. The company has had really good customer support in my experience. The only complaint I'd have is that they never make their Kickstarter deadlines. I think dragon's lair was 7 or 8 months late. But other than that I recommend their stuff.

#15 3 years ago

That's a different company. Also a different scale. The picture above is from an April fool's post. https://mobile.twitter.com/NewWaveToys/status/980559306117464065

Looking at the number in stock on the website, I wouldn't be surprised if these sold out within a week.

#24 3 years ago

Out of stock. And Tempest sold out for good. They must have had a huge surge in orders this week.

1 week later
#27 3 years ago

The company said they sold out in 10 days. They say they have "a very limited supply in transit that we expect to arrive the week of 12/14." Might be a last chance to get one coming up.

#28 3 years ago

Only 39 change machines left if you wanted one to go with your DL.

Quoted from Junkhauler:

The Mini Dragon is a must have for the Dragons Lair Collector...
The attention to detail is amazing...
It looks sooooo Cool on my D.L.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

The detail really is amazing. They even got the score board to work. I never even realized DL had a score board until I got this.

People are throwing a fit on Facebook because they couldn't get one. Crazy.

It is starting to feel like an almost full arcade over here

Quoted from DeeGor:

They're already talking about re-running everything again.
[quoted image]

I hope they don't. They sold these all as "Limited Edition". Each Asteroids unit is even numbered. It's not like it was hard to get these before recently.

Quoted from cleland:

Any guesses on what their future titles will be? Their website shows cabinet shadows for another 5 titles.

I think 1942 is the next one based on prototypes shown at shows.

2 months later
#88 3 years ago

1942 is basically a double release with 1943. Two new games to add to the lineup at the same time.

#91 3 years ago
Quoted from Phatchit:

Yea I’m on the mailing list after I grabbed the dragons lair , so I can grab them as soon as the preorder is in . I also just grabbed the 1942 and one of those coin slot key chains . That thing is sick ! Nice weight to it and looks great . I need the coin machine charger next
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Yeah. I've had one on my Keychain for a few months. Pretty cool. Definitely high quality.

The charge machine is great. A must have if you're collecting cabinets.

Quoted from undrdog:

I’ve just emailed them, asking if QBert will ship in time for Christmas. Hope so.

I don't think that's possible. They haven't even started production yet and with shipping container backups, I don't see how they could send them out before next year.

#113 2 years ago
Quoted from undrdog:

They said that QBert is being manufactured, shipping hopefully late December.
Probably not in time for the holidays.

They're currently manufacturing 1943 (1942 overhaul edition) and they say their factory is only allowed to work 3 days a week due to the energy crisis or something. I haven't heard anything about q*Bert being on the line, but it sounds like it's going to be a while before they get to it.

#116 2 years ago
Quoted from undrdog:

seenev They just told me it is being manufactured. Do you have special access to know what is actually in the works?

If you look at their social media they update on their progress periodically.

Quoted from undrdog:

I’ve ordered QBert & Missile Command. Seems ify to keep giving them money for further and further out. But I probably will.

Yeah. I'm not happy with the constant pre-orders without fulfilling orders in between.

#134 2 years ago
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:

That, and I already thought I had a limited edition Dragon's Liar. This is like a stern vault, keep printing money.

Worse than that, they're adding new, better features to these new runs so the old versions are less desirable. It's like they're punishing you for being an early adopter.

3 weeks later
#140 2 years ago

I got q*Bert today. It makes me laugh that stern doesn't include a knocker in their games but this little 1/6 scale arcade cabinet has one.

1 week later
#149 2 years ago

Now they're selling 1/6 scale boomboxes that double as a Bluetooth speaker.

Quoted from Junkhauler:

Just got my M90 mini Boombox today....
It's Awesome.... sounds great and it's soooo cool to look at. Has some weight too it also... nice quality!!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Cool boombox. Have you ever heard of this game called Dragon's Lair?

3 months later
#170 1 year ago
Quoted from undrdog:

Anyone heard an update on Dragon’s Lair or Missile Command recently?

They're overdue for an update on missile command. They're too busy opening up new preorders to actually deliver on existing orders.

2 months later
#189 1 year ago
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:

So did everyone one else buy the 1 of each combo on Missile Command and only get 1 original cab game?

I bought one of each. I heard the other cab is supposed to ship next week.

#210 1 year ago
Quoted from LesManley:

Now that Dragon's Lair is shipping, hopefully I get my Space Ace notification soon. I think I've had it pre-ordered for a year now. These things are pretty neat, excited to get my first one.

They haven't started production on Space Ace yet. As usual, they're way behind schedule.

#217 1 year ago

I bought the Dragon's Lair overhaul but I still have the first release so I'm not even opening it unless my other one breaks. This release isn't really an overhaul the way their other releases were. It's almost exactly the same as the regular release and basically just an excuse to rerun a limited edition release because it was more popular than they expected.

#234 1 year ago
Quoted from Jazman:

Already done (red T-molding)...!!!
Jaz
P.S. And both versions still available 30mins after on sale!

I don't know why these are expected to sell out immediately. It's the second run and everyone had a chance to preorder last year.

#243 1 year ago
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:

Both sold out now.

I'm actually surprised. I thought they would have made a zillion of these as it's by far their best seller.

#244 1 year ago

I don't think I'll have room for space Ace, zoltar, and the coke machine.

Space Ace has joined the line up. I'm basically out of room with the coke machine, zoltar, ghosts n goblins still pending. I don't even have a few of the variants out. Is this sustainable?

Space Ace is freaking hard. Yikes.

Quoted from Luckydogg420:

17 days later and it’s out for delivery, back at NWT in California. Hopefully it doesn’t take long to get a refund.
I sent them a message when it was rejected by Canada customs, and their response was a link to USPS tracking, and they said it was processing through customs and on its way to the final location. My response was a link to Canada post that showed it as rejected by customs here, and it’s heading back their way. They haven’t responded back, but I assume that tomorrow I’ll get a message when they realize what’s going on.

Trudeau banned mini arcades in the fine print when he banned guns, eh.

#579 30 days ago

This company has peaked and now they're just playing the same stupid "pay more for limited edition crap" game that every pinball company plays. Pinside should be eating this up.

#587 29 days ago

I would love to see NWT do Mortal Kombat. They did SF2. But they seem determined to make games with cheaper licensing costs these days. Looking at their silhouette roadmap, there's nothing I'm really looking forward to.
