I am buying a star trek premium through the Marco show deal, so that will be set up to play.

I already had bought a ticket for me and my wife for saturday, but now that I bought a game through the stern/marco deal, can I get that refunded/cancelled somehow? Since I get my admission "free" basically? Also do I have to "register" my game via the link in the first post, or is that done for me somehow through the stern/marco deal?
I just realized that sunday the 14th is when game of thrones airs. Looks like I gotta get my pin out fast as possible on sunday evening to get home for our party LOL.
Quoted from KingPinGames:damn, looks like i am skipping MGC this year then. Dan should have thought this out beforehand....
Just kidding. I (The King in the North, as my brother like to call me) will be there for the duration of the show.
I look forward to meeting the king in the north.
Quoted from abracadabra:I'm going to be "bringing" a Batman 66 thru the show special with Marco.
Do I need to register that anywhere or will show special buyers be preregistered with the show to get the "bring a machine" benefits?
I asked this same question in both threads and haven't gotten an answer yet either.
Quoted from Timerider:If it's like last year... the show special buyer's had a "unboxing party". At that time, you simply find Tully or whomever is manning the table and he'll get your info and set you up with labels, wristbands, party tickets, etc.
It's relatively quick & painless.
And you'll just go to Marco's table, introduce yourself (show ID), and they'll show you to your box/machine and direct you to where to set it up. (maybe go to Marco's table first.. then register. It's all pretty self-explainitary once you get there in the controlled chaos)
Hoping we get a definitive answer soon.
So if I want to open my Star Trek I bought through Marco, what time should I arrive Friday? I have off work that day.
Quoted from goatdan:Honestly, and this is why I keep forgetting to mention anything about the registration...
That all goes through Marco. I think some years they need the games opened Thursday night. Not sure. I know when I can open and close the halls, but it's up to them to decide when they will be around, and access to the halls are limited, so it's not like you could show up at, say, 1pm and just walk in and open up a game with no one around.
Which is a good thing of course
Ah so you're saying I should be barking up the Marco tree for details closer to the show.
I bought a game through the MGC show special so I have to take it home sunday. Do I need to bring my own dolly, shrink wrap to wrap the head to the body, etc? Or is that kind of stuff provided at MGC? Sorry this is my first pinball show.
Quoted from KingPinGames:I heard that if you purchase from "The King in the North" that he will help you breakdown, wrap and load....
Doesn't get any better than that.
Quoted from abracadabra:I'm buying a machine thru the Marco/Stern deal. Will I be able to remove my machine on Saturday April 13th or do I have to wait until Sunday night? I received an email stating "Game removal times are expected to be Saturday, April 13th from 7pm-8pm or Sunday from 3:30pm-11pm."
Thanks
Sunday night only for the show game deal.
Quoted from KingPinGames:Buffalo Pinball
Zach from SDTM
they will both be there
Zach will be easy to find. Just look for the only grown man on the kiddie rides.
Quoted from f3honda4me:Anyone bringing a game of thrones premium/LE? Or Walking dead premium/LE?
To clarify I was looking at possibly trading my NIB show deal purchased ST premium vault with someone for their GOT premium/LE.
Quoted from Whysnow:????
what???
I did not buy either of the 2 games I am getting from you.
I bought them form Marco; same as last year.
Is this some sort of odd scam you are running? Seems really fishy to claim you are the one selling these games via Macro after the fact.
On top of this, KingPin Games is one of the largest supports of the show each year and is the official guy bringing and selling all of the JJP, CGC, Spooky games at the show.
Teaming up with Marco, it says in the post. And Kingpin doesn't have exclusivity to bring JJP, CGC, etc. Nothing about the post looks fishy to me...
Quoted from Whysnow:This is the odd part.
I dont know whom this distributor is and I surely did not send them money for 2 games. I just found it odd that they claim to be the official MGC distributor on top of this.
The attempt to also sell other games at the show when KP is the big supporter is just a secondary and tacky IMHO. Every year we gets someone doing nothing for the show yet coming in at the last minute and trying to take sales form the ones that do and piggy back of their effort. I point it out because KP is such a great distributor and does so much that it irks me to see this happen every year (any this time from a complete unknown swooping in while KP is likely busy loading in over 100 games to support the show)
Yes you sent marco the money for the games. That doesn't mean that they didn't team up with marco. Zach at Flip N Out teamed up with Kingpin this year, does this mean Zach is a shady distributor? And kingpin isn't the only one allowed to sell games at the show. Kingpin is absolutely a huge part of the show, but he's not the only one that is allowed to sell games...
Quoted from Whysnow:of course others can sell at the show.
Zach also did not come here and claim to be the official distributor of MGC or seller of games sold by Kingpin.
Kingpin also did not claim to be the official distributor...
pretty big difference.
Guessing it was just a poorly phrased post and due to a desire to try and associate themselves as more responsible for supporting the show and bringing 50 games (understandable when you are trying to sell more games). You can hopefully see that is odd to claim when Marco clearly is the one selling all those NIB stern games.
I get that, but jumping right to “scam” is equally as odd of a claim.
Quoted from Crile1:Wow, did getting a look at Wonka change your mind?
No I’m already in on wonka. But family wants an MBr over Star Trek so I’m buying an MBr from Chris/Kingpin and selling the ST. But - My feelings won’t be hurt if I have to bring Star Trek home and play it for a bit while it’s up for sale. I have a new color dmd for it too but I’ll probably get more if I leave it new in box and sell that separately.
