Load out wasn't fun last year for a number of reasons, but Dan and the site have worked hard to make it better.

For those of you choosing not to bring a game - keep in mind that if everyone had this attitude, it wouldn't be much of a show. Everybody doing what they can is what makes the show special. If you like having a local Wisconsin pinball show, then local collectors need to support it.

I've been bringing games to the show since 2007 and been working the arcade hall since 2010. Sure, it would be easier to just attend and enjoy, but I want a local Wisconsin show to thrive and know it takes a lot of support to make it happen.

If you cannot bring a game to share, consider helping in other ways, such as score keeping for tournaments.

    Quoted from abracadabra:

If I need to setup my new machine, I assume I'll need to bring some tools? A wrench at least to attach the legs?
I'll also need to be there when? Friday morning?

Most people bring basic tools along, but if you don't have any, there are people there that can help you out. Usually the NIB show games are unboxed on Thursday evening. Dan can probably comment more, but you don't need to be there if you don't want to be. Marco folks will set up the game if you can't make it.

I'm planning on bringing my Simpsons Pinball Party to MGC.

Reminder, be sure to register with the MGC if you are bringing a game as the arcade hall layout is getting finalized very soon. See link here to register: https://www.midwestgamingclassic.com/bring-machines/

Also, every year we find games with missing or damaged ground prongs on the power cord. Please check your game and verify the all three prongs are present and in good condition.

    Quoted from abracadabra:

I'm buying a machine thru the Marco/Stern deal. Will I be able to remove my machine on Saturday April 13th or do I have to wait until Sunday night? I received an email stating "Game removal times are expected to be Saturday, April 13th from 7pm-8pm or Sunday from 3:30pm-11pm."
    Thanks

Yes, 5 PM on Sunday is the allowed removal time for new pins bought through the show deal.

    Quoted from pfcjimmy:

I have a couple of Bally LED flicker eliminator kits I could bring if anyone needs one. Asking $30/kit
    https://www.cometpinball.com/product-p/bally-stern-adapter.htm
I barely used them and ended up getting new lamp boards that don't require these.

I'll buy what you have left Jimmy.

Just a friendly reminder for those of you bringing games to the MGC:

Make sure your electrical plug includes a ground prong (some early EM pins won't have one). This is for safety. I'll have a few replacement plugs available for $5.

Be sure that all coin doors, locks, back boxes, covers, etc are there and intact so the game can be secured. No exposed wiring is allowed.

All games must be set to free play or have an external button to add credits.

See everyone in a few days.
