    Quoted from Jazman:

If you got a JD for 800-1000 a couple years ago you got a heck of a deal (or it was a beater). Nice score. They haven't been going at that price for almost 15 years.
    Jaz

I was referring to Black Knight.

I have a customer trading in a Deadpool Premium. Minimal use (non commercial). 6900 delivered to MGC

    #303 8 months ago
    Quoted from kcZ:

Anyone looking for a set of Williams/Bally ss 51-5/8 side rails? Brand new. $80 at MGC.
Not sure what I was thinking when I bought them for my Silverball Mania which they are obviously not for... I've been feeling sleep deprived.

    Interested. Would you take $75?

    #304 8 months ago

I have a couple of Bally LED flicker eliminator kits I could bring if anyone needs one. Asking $30/kit
    https://www.cometpinball.com/product-p/bally-stern-adapter.htm

I barely used them and ended up getting new lamp boards that don't require these.

My first one was $1k in 2007. Second was $800 in 2010. Both were pretty nice but not mint by any means. Second one was nicer and was actually an early/sample game with the original sniper plastic and a few other cool differences. REALLY wish I would have kept that one. :/

I am coming to the show for the first time... I can bring but only if its pre-sold the nicest STNG in the entire country. This thing has everything you could ever want from hand painted toys, color screen, powder coating, side art, pinsound, and a new translite. Playfield and cabinet is perfect, and complete shop job with LED. $6000.00 and i'm taking a major loss.

Also have a LOTR perfect playfield, very minor scratches on the cabinet otherwise perfect, upgrade sound, color screen, every mod known to man kind.
    $6000.00

Let me know. I will be looking to buy some games while I'm there but these sell.

So you have a badly lit start trek with a tacky paint job.

    #312 8 months ago

I keep wondering what the deal is with the paint there...too thick? I couldn't tell if it was a textured effect or...? It looks wet.

    #313 8 months ago

I also talked with Dan about a 'free table'. This is where stuff will be put out for things that are free. Just stuff that you're going, why am I keeping this. Like old registration cards, old score/instruction card for games you'll never get again, old price guides, etc. It doesn't have to be paperwork, but let's keep the stuff on the table.

Stuff can just be picked up, you look at it and go 'cool'. You either leave it or take it.

This will be open to anyone that wants to drop something like that off. You don't need to drop something off in order to take something.

    Please keep it MGC related.

The table will, hopefully, be clearly marked. And may end up being by my tables.

At the end of the show whatever is left will be thrown out.

I'm sure if Dan has any other rules/stipulations/clarifications, he'll chime in

Pretty much the rules of MGC for selling is no porn, guns, or things that infringe on intellectual property rights. Oh, and Levy says no food.

Pretty obvious stuff, really. Beyond that, I'm down with whatever!

*SOLD*Earthshaker - previous repair with tape. Not ideal, but it’s working. Mirrored areas are good $25

Anyone from Minnesota coming to MGC that has room to bring a game with them? I really want to grab this Genie- rmn.craigslist.org link

You will literally pass by my house on the way to the show (I am just south of I94 by a few minutes). I haven't spoke with the seller yet, I didn't want to contact him unless I knew I could get the machine a ride.

Would a $100 motivate anyone to give it a ride to my place?

Is there a list of arcade games that will be available? The 1st post in this thread seems to only show pinball machines.

    #335 8 months ago

I'm going to repost my parts for sale ad, both because I haven't had any takers and because I've added a small additional batch of items. Prices remain negotiable; if your first reaction is "dood ur prices sux," we can discuss.

    Original lineup, still available:

    1. Pre-90s Williams lockdown bars, 4 total. First responders get the nicest ones. $25/pc. Pictured at left.
    2. Williams DMD controller from a HS2. Have not tested this board, but I'm told it works. $75. Top right.
    3. HS2 Turbocharger controller board from Homepin, brand new unused. $80. Bottom center.
The two items below were mostly packed up in a goodies box with my HS2 purchase - I ASSUME the kits are complete but I do not know for certain.
    4. Red lighted PinballBulbs speaker kit for Williams. $25. Bottom right.
    5. HS2 spotlight (x2) and LED strip sets - $65 total for the 3 bags. Center right.
    56d14b61822b4bdcc67a39eb8ea36dac7eddfd51 (resized).jpg

    Newly added items:

    1. Apron+fence assembly for Jackbot. Contains dirt and a number sticker for some reason. $40.
    2. Bag of Ablaze single-LED bulbs. Bear in mind these are not particularly bright! Rough estimate is 70 wedges and 170 bayonets. $25 takes the bag.
    3. Box of lots of assorted wire of different types. Measures around 12" x 10" x 5". Untangling services not included. $ Make offer?
    IMG_20190408_214529585 (resized).jpg

Closeup shot of the wire below. A lot of this is computer/data related, but there are a lot of color combinations here, and this is a hobby with a lot of wire colors in it.
    IMG_20190408_214013789 (resized).jpg

    Edits:
    2 lockdown bars are sold.
HS2 light kits, speaker lights, and supercharger board are tentatively sold.

Its a two stage powder coat its called vane. First they powder coat it black, then its powder coated purple over it. You can't see it really good I'm guessing in the pictures but its black and purple and looks amazing. The idea was to create SPACE!

I will be bringing my Baywatch w/shaker kit installed. For any other Baywatch owners that may be interested in a shaker kit, I have 2 ready that I can bring to MGC to save on shipping, and you'd get to try it before you buy it!!

Another member was nice enough to do a little review of the kit: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/added-a-shaker-to-baywatch-wow

I have a NEW LOTR center ring ramp replacement and new spinner. It can certainly help with consistent feeds into the ring, and it just looks beautiful to replace with new ones.

    Asking $85 total for both.

In case you didn't pre-register, these are the details that went out to those that did...

    *******************************************
The 2019 Midwest Gaming Classic is rapidly approaching. We continue to work hard to make the show a great experience for everyone.

For those that weren't able to join us last year, this is a reminder that last year the show MOVED from the Sheraton Hotel in Brookfield to the Wisconsin Center convention facility in downtown Milwaukee. For those that attended last year, the arcade hall and console museum was in Hall C and the vendor hall was Hall D. This year, the arcade and museum have once again expanded in size and will occupy Hall B AND Hall C. This has presented some challenges for our power grid and dictated needing to expand the system (Doc Oc) again this year. The vendors are in Hall A. There is a wedding show that is using Hall D this year. I've attached a graphic showing the dock and exhibit hall of the Wisconsin Center. Please note the orientation of the picture.

There is a bunch of details below. Let me know if you have further questions and we'll see later this week!
    Keith
    *******************************************

Setup hours are Friday April 12th from 10am-10pm. The dock will re-open from 8am-9:30am on Saturday morning if you aren't able to setup on Friday. If you need to setup Saturday morning, please plan to be there no later than 9am as the hall opens to the public at 10.

If you're not able to setup during these times, there is an opportunity to drop off your game on Thursday night but we would need to know that in advance. Please email me if this is something you need to do so we can plan for you.

    BRINGING YOUR GAME(S)
Following these step-by-step instructions to bring a game or games to the show!

    1. Upon arrival at the Wisconsin Center, you (the game bringer) will sign your vehicle in at the dock gate and be directed to the gameroom hall ramp.
    2. Once parked near the gameroom hall ramp, unload your game with MGC arcade hall personnel in specified “set up” location. To ensure a fast moving drop off procedure, you will not be setting up your game at this time. Instead, we will give you a “set up” pass to return to set it up after you park your car.
    3. Move your car from the loading dock, park it and come back to the gameroom with your set up pass from the usual, “guest” side of the show. Note: If you expect to have a trailer, please email us at arcadehall@midwestgamingclassic.com so we can help ensure it has a place to go at the show. Trailers may be directed to off site parking.
    4. Set up your game where the MGC arcade hall personnel directs you too.
    5. Register your game to get your “welcome” packet including machine rewards, and enjoy the show! If setting up Friday, we would suggest looking into either visiting Tom Taylor’s Open House or taking part in our Friday Night Preview events. Note, due to their extremely limited nature, neither of these are part of our regular rewards.

Game removal times are expected to be Saturday, April 13th from 7pm-8pm or Sunday from 3:30pm-11pm. Game removal at other times may be accommodated by the Wisconsin Center by paying a $50 “dock fee” to get the personnel open docks at that time. This is per-vehicle fee.

    1. Pack up your machine and move it our “prepped for removal” area in the back of the game hall.
    2. MGC move out staff will give you a gameroom pick up pass. You will need this pass to return to the loading dock, so please keep it with you.
    3. Retrieve your vehicle and come to the Wisconsin Center loading dock with your pass to get access.
    4. MGC move out staff will check for a pass and direct you up the load out ramp. At the top of the ramp, MGC move out staff will further direct you where to go.
    5. Once you are parked, you may get your machine and start to load it. MGC move out staff will check your ownership information, and is available to help you load your machine into your vehicle if you wish! Additionally, we will have hand trucks available to help move games.
    6. Once loaded, drive down the exit ramp and leave the Wisconsin Center knowing that awesome you and your awesome game(s) brought happiness to more than 10,000 gamers for the weekend… WOW!

    ********************************************

    * Power: Unless specifically instructed to do so by arcade hall staff, ONLY use power from the Doc Oc power system. Plugging directly into the convention center power will cost the show additional money that is not planned or budgeted for. If you have any questions regarding this policy, find someone from the arcade hall staff.

    * Carry-in policy: Unfortunately, the Wisconsin center does not allow food or beverages to be carried in. This includes the after party. The convention center will have concessions available for purchase including beer and a cash bar. For the after party, the show will be providng food and purchasing a certain amount of beer. The exact details are still being worked out, but it will likely be allocated by each game getting a number of drink tickets.

    * After-party: The after-party will work similarly to previous years. When the show closes at 8pm on Saturday evening, we will ask everyone to leave the hall while we prepare for the after-party. At approximately 8:45 or 9, we will allow re-entry to those with after-party passes. The after-party will close at 3am.

    * Games: All full-size pinball, arcade and caberet style games will qualify for benefits including weekend admission, show cash, and after-party tickets. Cocktail games (including red tentss) will be allowed but will NOT qualify for any benefits of any kind. We will continue to evaluate the possibilities of allowing cocktail machines in future years as we gain a better understanding of the venue. Bar top games will not be allowed (except for vendors who may have them in their booths) as we don't believe we have a way to display them this year.

    * VIG: Reminder, the Friday night VIG even is not part of the free weekend admission. Once again this year, a small portion of the arcade hall will be open for those with VIG tickets. But, as in previous years, the majority of the hall will be open for setup only.

    * Early removal fee: As in previous years, there will be an early removal fee for games that are sold and leave the show floor prior to 11am on Saturday morning. Basically, once you setup your game in the hall, you cannot take your game out of service nor remove it from the hall prior to 11am on Saturday unless you pay a $100 penalty. The MGC does not charge a sales commission on games sold during the show nor do we intend to change that. Also, please note that this fee does NOT include any fees that might be imposed to open the dock during off-hours ($50 per vehicle fee - see additional setup info below).

    * Grounding and game safety: Once again this year, we will be checking for safety ground connections on all games. If a machine was designed to have a grounded lug on the power cord connected to the metal on the game, that must be intact and functional. If that is not the case, you're machine will not be allowed on the floor of the arcade hall. We will try to have cords and personnel available to assist you with repairs if necessary for a fee, but we cannot guarantee availability. So, please check your power cords for ground connections as you shop and prepare your games for the show.

A really good article on game safety was written by Matthew Sell of the Seattle collectors group. There's a ton of good information there and I encourage you to read it. I've attached a copy of the file here:

Elektra lost sound last night so I'll likely bring something else while I troubleshoot the squawk and talk board.

I might be tempted to bring my Black Knight, but the backglass is SO roached. Anyone have a spare?

    Quoted from pfcjimmy:

If you get there early and prearrange then I would bet Rob can work on that for you?

Also, check the volume pot (reflow and work the knob back and forth a bunch) as that has been an issue for me in the past on s&t

I have a few parts that are a drag to ship. Unfortuneately my plans crashed and I cannot set up or attend the show this year.
I have a used Batman DE Ramp. $100 (See pix)
I have ss and gold side rails, new with the plastic still on them.
    Alvin G Worldtour Backglass NOS.
    Boards for Bad Cats.
Located on northside of Racine County Franksville.
Lots of other parts, most are shipable, will try to get them listed. (or there is always next year) Terry

WTB or trade for Flash back glass. Mine is "okay", but is missing the white paint on the guy.
This isn't my glass - but shows the area where mine is missing white.
    Thanks

The change in my travel plans also changed my trailer size. Slight chance I might have to leave my Black Knight behind. I'll know for sure tomorrow morning, so keep it on the list for now. Won't know till I load up.
