    Quoted from goatdan:

No. There is a reason Jersey Mike's and the hotel food is in the room inside that it is.
Mr. Soda Pop can be outside because the food is bottled and in no way prepared. Any preparation, to be not within the confines of the building... *sigh*
Without going into a long diatribe here, there was a like five year plan with the show that included a second tent where we could do stuff at night like concerts using some retro acts that could also double as like a food festival tent, but due to permitting / weird Wisconsin laws, it's not an option. We are looking into other ways to grow, but nothing is simple.
And, just because I need to say it every time, we did talk with the two larger locations. If you're cool with someone that doesn't know pinball machines needing to set up your machine for you and not being able to change what you say you are bringing three months in advance, then we would have an option. I don't trust their guys though over the people who actually own the machines... And that is just one issue of many.
    Convention organization is interesting.

Did you say Mr. Soda Pop will be there?
    Sweet!

Proud to report that I will have my CV at show showing off the new LED display by ColorDMD.

    Quoted from Whysnow:

sure, when I figure out what they actually are, LOL.
Chaos is chaotic all the way around so I never really know until the day of the event and usually about 2 hrs before it starts.
As of now, Creech, DM, and Star Trek are the 3 that people have commited to using.
I am still working on finding another solid state/non-DMD and a fun/good EM to use. Those will probably be found as games come in the door and I find a willing owner. Ideally they would both be GTB games to bring some more diversity to the line up.

Maybe Eric can squeeze Melody into his packed truck.

    Quoted from Whysnow:

great, I will bring my matches and gasoline

You said Gottlieb EM. I may have space in the trailer for it.

MGC can't get here soon enough!

    Quoted from PinballKen:

Officially off work for the next 6 days. For me, MGC weekend has arrived!! Going to stock up on sleep now! Later today I'll tackle Doc Oc!!

    Replace sleep with drinking!

    #298 8 years ago
    Quoted from Jediturtle:

Heading out in a few minutes to help start laying things out and getting Doc Oct ready for Ken to work his electric voodoo magic. Not looking forward to the back breaking, but definitely looking forward to the friends and the craziness! See you all soon!

I have to remember to bring my moving gloves!

    #300 8 years ago
    Quoted from Bryan_Kelly:

    Real men don't wear gloves.

    True. I'm spineless.
I had a good splinter go through my hand one year under a cabinet and since I work with my hands all day, I need them.

    No hand jokes JediTurtle.

    Quoted from northvibe:

Hockey gloves and then try to play pinball

    Sounds like the pinball olympics.

    Quoted from kcZ:

Not sure how much $ tee shirts cost but here is what I thought about during the after party... Terry's PinGulps for everyone who enters the show, if you leave early then you hand in your PinGulp.

I actually like that idea. Not sure if it would be cost effective but that sounds awesome.

    Quoted from Jediturtle:

Better than average according to who? As one of only a handful of guys trying to coordinate the insanity that happens during load-in, no way am I going to take responsibility for determining who has the "more deserving" games. :/

I'll stand behind you so I don't get hit in the face when you tell someone there games suck.
