another great year. Still my favorite show out of all the pinball shows I attend. Thanks to everyone who made the show possible. Everything ran smooth. Exhausting but smooth. Pingolf was a little hecktic to run, but wasn't to bad. Bottle necking was a minimum. Only had one game really slow everything down. I'll try and streamline it even more for next year. Lots of great games there, and in excellent condition. Spent most of my time talking as usual. Ghostbusters was great to play. Still a little unbalanced on the scoring in spots, but is coming along great.

    Quoted from mr2xbass:

Happy to do it! Hope that NVRAM works out for you.

Yeeeeah ok, maybe 1,500,000 was a little high....

well it is and it isn't. I was unaware that Spring break was a chopping wood type game. As you advance from ball 1, 2 and 3, scoring is easier and easier, so by ball 3, 1.5 million is pretty much handed to you. But trying to do it on ball 1 was a LOT of work. I will not be using games like that next year.

And Hilton. Clock chaos ran smooth and i'm glad we found a way to double dip finals with those fortunate enough to participate in both. But yes, we need to figure something out so we don't piggy back finals again. Personally, I think it would be easier to cut golf off sooner, than it would be for you. Since your people are scheduled time lines. I could start and end an hour earlier. Plus my finals are fairly fast, except the final 4 people. Again, was drawn out somewhat because of having to redo spring break doing ghost scoring.

and Congrats to Ken Kulig for taking 1st place in Pingolf!!!! Top 4 were.

    1. Ken (unstoppable) Kulig
    2. Chris Frame
    3. Neo Skywalker
    4. Dave Daluga

    Quoted from goatdan:

Vector won best Ss, Winner won best EM.
On the vid side, Jurassic Park Lost World won best light gun (only two light gun machines, so easy category this year!), Ice Cold Kong won best single player, Vs. Castlevania won best multi-player and Rush won best racing game. I have two of the trophies yet because the games got pulled before close for these
Still had more than 100 up and working at close though in the arcade hall!

how did castlevania win best multiplayer? Castlevania is a one player game only. SF Vs Xmen or SF 2 in the hall should have won.

    Quoted from metallik:

Although you say you don't intend on changing it, may I suggest you offer two AP entries to people who bring one machine that is substantially better than average (rare, brand new, expensive or otherwise special). This may allow you to improve overall machine quality by rejecting lesser machines that occupy floor space, and allow single-vehicle travelers a chance at the AP.

this is a good idea. Or even for games with production runs of less than 10 maybe even 3.

I really like the way the after party is handled now. Pretty much one body per machine on the floor. Whether or not they brought the machine, or gave a handy J to someone that brought 2, doesn't matter. The more bodies at the party, means the more games that are there. All of us have friends that don't own games, or unable to. So if you have the ability to bring 2 and share the experience with them. So much the better. Between the best in show contest, and the afterparty and free entry, it's more than worth it for me to bring a game or 2 every year. Now if there is a super double jackpot, for bringing exceptionally nice or rare games, i'm all for that too, since that's usually what I bring. Unless it's super soccer, then i'm bringing it so people can bitch about it in tournament. > YEA in your faces!!!!!

    Quoted from Whysnow:

Clock Chaos results are already in IFPA.
Full Throttle has been reported and should show up in a few days.
Dan and Neo, Any status update on results for the main tourney and pingolf?

I sent it to Dan, but i'm sure he's got a lot of stuff to do before he settles down. Did you submit your results yourself? If dan wants me to, I can submit pingolf results if he needs.

in regards to the coin return buttons being pushed in and messed up. How many other people had this happen? I had 2 friends have all of the square block buttons pushed in, in a way, they were angled so they would not come back out. 2 different games, not even near each other. So either someone had a kid that was standing by them that would push them all in and screw them up, or someone was up to shenanigans.

Anyone else have the coin returns stuck closed?

just seemed weird that both of their games have them jammed upwards and can't get them to pop out. 8 games away from each other. My game just has the button type so it couldn't happen to me.
