yeah I have everything else working great HH. I would have to use jumpers to get it on freeplay

I guess I could put a sign that says 1 player games or something like that.

If I could get the board worked on there that would be great. I think that's the issue.

    Quoted from Whysnow:

There is lots to see and do aside form the afterparty. I have a few friends that dont bring a game and they usually ditch out on sat when things shut down for the aftery party and go catch a movie or hit up some of the local route pinball spots.
Aside form that you could possible buy a game there and try to negotiate the show pass.
If you were going to be in on Friday you could possibly offer to voulenteer for the day and get a pass??

Yeah but I'm a beer drinking pinball addict, so the party seems up my alley.

    Quoted from timtim:

you could also set credits to max and then stop but to credit it up every so often.

I think there are others that have wired the start button into the credit switch also to make it work?

    #203 8 years ago

oh ben heck is not going, who's going to sign my beer drinking vase.

    #204 8 years ago

Hey anyone know, the Uhual 5x8 enclosed trailer. Can you stand up a pin in those? or best to get the pin in, and spin sideways? Looking at hauling 2 games, and some chexx's.

EDIT: just realized I had two pins in one last year...but have no memory of how I had them. IM and LWJP

    #205 8 years ago
    Quoted from Whysnow:

Yup, on my 80B I set it for max credits (20) and replay level at minimum (100k).

It also is easy enough to jump the credit switch to the start switch.

    https://www.uhaul.com/Trailers/5x8-Cargo-Trailer-Rental/AV/

Website states they are 5'4" tall inside and the door opening is 4'10". Probably could stand up four.

    #207 8 years ago

So totally not pinball related, but I'm incredibly pumped that this will be at the show...

Does anybody know if the time slots have been emailed to those who signed up for the Clock Chaos tournament?

    #210 8 years ago
    Quoted from Methos:

Does anybody know if the time slots have been emailed to those who signed up for the Clock Chaos tournament?

I think I received mine in my confirmation email I believe. Also, there was an email sent out to everyone who had already signed up for CC before they added a block of earlier slots to see if those people wanted to move their slot sooner, and through a link in that email it also showed me my slot.

    #211 8 years ago
    Quoted from Friengineer:

Quick question: will we need double A batteries?

    Only 486 of them.

Any guesses what the tournament game Dan has chosen but not yet shared might be?

    I'm guessing Walking Dead!

Walking Dead would make sense since it is one that usually kicks my ass.

Today marks one week until the show (VIG) and eight days until the MPC tournament. Seems like a good time to make the announcement for the MPC lineup. Maybe the big reveal will happen at the preview event tonight at Binary. Goatdan....?

do they ever announce title in advance?

I thought we just typically showed up and games were there?

reminds me, I better go clean up my Fishtales and actually play it a couple of times before I bring it

Tomorrow night is the Binary event. Which reminds me, I need to send an email...

I have it on my list to put it up today. I also need to announce the pinball industry alumni coming to the event this year, which is a pretty amazing list of people!

    #221 8 years ago

Proud to report that I will have my CV at show showing off the new LED display by ColorDMD.

    #222 8 years ago
    Quoted from mkecasey:

sure, when I figure out what they actually are, LOL.

Chaos is chaotic all the way around so I never really know until the day of the event and usually about 2 hrs before it starts.

As of now, Creech, DM, and Star Trek are the 3 that people have commited to using.

I am still working on finding another solid state/non-DMD and a fun/good EM to use. Those will probably be found as games come in the door and I find a willing owner. Ideally they would both be GTB games to bring some more diversity to the line up.

I don't know what your criteria for a fun/good EM is. I am bringing Swing Along (2 player), Flipper Clown (AAB), & Wing Ding (AAB). You are welcome to use any of them if they fit your needs. However, I do not usually attend the Friday night activities, so I will not be there during CC.

    #229 8 years ago

Oh, I guess I should add... It's April 1st. I *may* not put that up today because I don't want anyone to think it's a trick.

    I hate this "holiday".

    The list above is legit.

MGC is going to be spectacular this year. Nice work!

    #232 8 years ago

After 12 years of poker playing, I have met some great people in the poker world, but I am so excited for my 1st Pinball Convention. I spent over a decade learning and working on my game of poker, and now making the transition to something(obviously not much money involved in) but so much more fun, the game of pinball!!!!!! This will be my first pinball expo and I am so excited!!!!! I know I am going to take a whooping in these tournaments(I'm a nooby) but so excited for them.

Yes. I plan on dropping the games off at the hall and then go over to Tom T's to help out over there. After Tom's Open house, I'll come back to the hall and make the games are working correctly.

Anyone know if the gaming vendors buy during the show? Decent prices?

IME, they do not. They have a LOT to sell.

Maybe if you have something ultra-rare.. but otherwise there's a thread for buying/selling things other than pins if you wanna post.

sounds great! I'll be there early on Friday. When you check in please tell Tully/Jaz/etc that one of your games is going to be available for clock chaos and you need to find me. They will point you in my direction and we will figure it out. I am not sure which will be best to use for tourney play but we'll check them out and figure it out. I do have 1 other possible EM to use but not sure just yet.

I am thinking the non AAB may be best but not sure as I am not well versed in EMs.

THANKS for offering up a game!!!

Very much looking forward to MGC this year! I'm not attending any after party event(s) on Saturday but I am planning on going to a TobyMac concert that evening. I have an extra ticket and thought I'd check to see if any other MGC attendees would be interested in going as well. Cost will just be the face value of $39 and it starts at 7pm. PM me if interested.

    Thanks!
