These are both so close together, so many people have to choose one over the other. I have been to TX and enjoyed it. Has anyone had any experience with both and prefers one over the other? Why?

Have not been to TPF, someday I will and have heard that it is a really good show. I have attended MGC for nearly ten years and new location is outstanding.!!

Both are great shows. For different reasons.

Texas Pinball Festival is huger than life. Gets bigger every year.

Midwest Gaming Classic is huge and the pinball part gets bigger every year. The gamer attendees in costumes add a level excitement to everything.

2018 and 2019 I got sent to both. I was blessed.

I couldn't pick one over the other. both shows are run well, by great people. And lots and lots of pinball. 2019 had reveals at both of them.

Do both if you can. You'll be glad you did.

I prefer MGC because I run it

Seriously, if you can do both, both is the right choice.

I haven't been to Texas personally because, sadly, by organizing the show, there is no way that I can leave a few weeks before to go to a different show, no matter how awesome. From what I have heard, however, if you are JUST into Pinball, TPF is the mecca of all shows to feature pinball.

If you are a fan of all types of gaming, then MGC has that covered in spades. We don't have as many pinball-specific vendors, but we have a ton of pinball machines, but also hundreds of consoles, thousands of table top games, a bunch of pop culture stuff has been invading lately, a crazy after party for our VIG people, and a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting I'm sure.

Both are great, and neither is "better" for everyone, just better for your own tastes

Whether it is this year or at some other point in the future, hope to see you at MGC in the future... and hope to hear how Texas was for you too!
