I was having a problem with my White Lightning not firing correctly and after much investigation I discovered that the metal mechanism attached to the solenoid plunger has been striking and wearing a groove into the housing that holds the plastic ball loading tray. The groove causes the housing to go in too far and creates a misalignment with the loading tube and creates a jam. I’m filling the grooves with steel epoxy which should help for now, but I want to prevent it from happening again. Looking at the unit, it looks like there might have been some kind of “stopper” screwed into the end that is missing on mine. I’d love a photo of what’s missing, or even an explanation of what should be there would help. Photos are below to show what I’m talking about.
