I need a readable schematic for a 1963 Midway Champ pinball.
I've been looking for years but cannot find one.

I'm hoping someone has one buried in their old files...
Thank you for any help!

Quoted from Mopar:

Congratulations on owning a Midway Champ. Tough one to find.
I have a decent schematic. Next week (maybe Monday, depending
if the Secretary is there) I can get a copy made. They come out nice.
It'll be $5.00 (or that's what it was) plus a couple 3 bucks for shipping.
lmk.
btw: How's the backglass on your machine?

Thanks! Let me know when you are ready.
I actually have a Raceway but the entire wiring is per Champ. It is an original Raceway game so the factory had some hybrid crossover between Raceway and Champ. That is my problem, a Raceway schematic is not useful.

i wonder if you actually have a champ with a raceway backglass?

I checked that out too. The backbox light board is completely different between the two so swapping back glasses wouldn't work. There are other differences between the games that also would be difficult to work around with a swap.
My game wiring, cabinet, and graphics all match in age, condition and factory assembly appearance. No work arounds evident.

Interesting. Does it have a 5th individual Score reel for the Laps made?
I wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the backglass (and playfield)..

Here is my game. It has the Champ relay layout in a Raceway game. Since both games were almost identical (same playfield) The majority of the game functions are the same. Most of the changes with Champ are in the Game Over and Reset relays, but they accomplish the same thing as Raceway.

There is no extra lap count reel.

I did a lot of research and inspection of my game and I am convinced that my game is as from the factory. Everything shows that nobody has ever touched any wiring, solder joints, or mechanism locations. No loose or dead end wires, correct light backboard for Raceway, all factory wax string wire ties everywhere and no pulled out wires from bundles, and all mech's in original location.

It appears to be an interim game between the transition of Raceway and Champ.
So I need to use both a Raceway and a Champ schematic to troubleshoot.
