I'll add more details to what Dan is saying regarding the cash prizes: it's my opinion that any cash prize that cannot be claimed will be returned to the pot and saved for next year's awards. The VIP fundraiser auction is and will always be there for the folks who work hard to bring games to the show, and the money should remain there for those who are dedicated to making the arcade/pin hall great.

I understand that some of you drive a long way to the show (I drive 5 hours myself) and sticking around until 4:30pm on a Sunday can be a real challenge when you're trying to get home on Sunday. I'm wrestling with this too. But to keep the show great for those who attend on Sunday, this makes the most sense.
