Also, would you complain to Stern about this gouge in your side rail? (see second image)
What # did you get and damn, I hope they take care of you, that is more than obvious!

Found out my number today #45 . Should be here in a week or so. Loooong journey for this one but learned quite a bit about distributors . Pics once it is set up.

I received #179
I am still waiting for mine to come. Ordered by "Ministry of pinball" here in europe. Still hoping this goes out well for me and that I get it, but they still got no delivery date for me and I am getting a little bit worried haven't ordered there before and don't know if I can trust them.
BTW - mine arrived without a coin mech!
I'm also having problems with seemingly the Newton block releasing shards of metal on the playfield and it is looking badly beaten up after only 250 games.
The result is a highly scratched playfield, even after a clean and polish.
I've put 2 sets of premium balls in so far as well to try and avoid ANY wear on my NIB game.

Quoted from TimeBandit:#68. Tomorrow!!!!!!...with 1.18 preinstalled to fix the hammer issues..yeaahh

It is not advertised because it is a fix for the Export models having problems with the Hammer/magnet lock. It is still a work in progress but a big improvement.
I wouldn't worry about installing it if you are in the States. Wait it out for the next official update.
Quoted from wellarmed:7/24/13 got mine
I got 199 and my buddy got 200! Welcome to the world, 198!
Quoted from pvhtv:Today, 25-07, No. 197.
After SW update without problems with the hammer.
I didnt see this at first 197, 198, 199, 200 accounted for lol

As above, this is after 300 or so games, what is it going to look like after 3,000 or 30,000?
I'm on my 3rd set of balls as they are pitted so quickly and I can see scratches all over the playfield.
I keep finding these little metal shards and specs on the playfield.
I'm thinking of trying to engineer a Newton ball back in given the lock doesn't fire from captive ball hits anyway seemingly.
Do you think it would make a difference if you put some Mylar or similar over the Newton cube?
I think I need to change my balls too, they didn't really seem so great when new. I recently bought a new set of balls for my other machine and they are far superior in quality.
That looks horrible, but I havent seen others complaining, I wonder what is up with that. Maybe others should check..
My cube is the same as that..balls seem fine though, I did use new balls when I got it though, not Stern's crap ones..

This is rather concerning !
Hope Stern puts out a bulletin/update for this problem ?
anyone got ideas on how to fix ?
My cube looks real similar after only 100 or so games, I am not finding shards of metal on the playfield though, I just waxed mine for the first time tonight and it plays so much faster now, cant believe its this quick.

Mine is starting to look like that a bit but it's under the hammer and kind of "blocked" from your normal playing view when standing in front of the machine which is why I think most people haven't brought it up.... They haven't noticed/seen it.
Quoted from bradloy25:My cube looks real similar after only 100 or so games,
Mine too. I kind of attributed that partly to hammering away at it trying to get it to register hits, that is until I adjusted the magnet. Now I go a little easier on it.

Yep, noticed that on our MET Monster Premium too, under 100plays and quite a bit of wear on the block. (that is flaking off onto the PF) Not a good situation.

Thanks for posting. is #62 an LE? Odd that is it such a low # going overseas/
Quoted from Roostking:Thanks for posting. is #62 an LE? Odd that is it such a low # going overseas/
Why is that odd? The numbers were supposedly shipped randomly...not in any kind of order.
I dont know and it probably isnt, it just seems like the US got the first 150ish. The middle #'s got sent overseas, then the US picked back up around 300 something. Of course mine and my buddy got 199 and 200 here in the US and 197 and 198 went overseas, so that theory is kind of blown. #62 is probably the earliest # to go overseas from this threads perspective.

The lowest number I've seen in the flesh over here is #30. Australia generally gets a bunch of games between 20 and 70 depending on how many are ordered. Then a few more in the mid to high 200s.
#77 arrived here last week.

On this same page, #41 went to Australia.
Just snagged an LE, the distributor had one a customer couldn't pay the balance on. Put the down payment on it today and will have it shipped in a couple weeks once my pro has been picked up.
Super excited!

Use a foam piece on it. Like the one pinballpal used to sell to use on the legs inside. Works great! No damage whatsoever and it doesn't hinder the ball either.

Us Americans could learn a few things from the French.

Where would I get that from, who sells it?
