The meteor plastics are in the artwork stage. Shouldnt be too much longer now...

#57 8 years ago

Awesome. Thank you.

Been out of the loop for a while (missed the mother#*(%)(*ing Eightball Deluxe PF signup and am on the standby list). I did get on the list for a Meteor PF and have sent my name to Australia for a plastics set. Good luck to us all.

Update on the Meteor plastics. They are in the art process still. Apparently these are not an easy repro because of the colors. Still not 100% if it's a go but I'm hoping.

I wish I knew. The last time I talked to Lee they were working on the artwork. I'm not sure why they are having trouble with it since they have done many repro plastics sets in the past. I will email him and ask about the progress.

groovy, thanks.

I figured I'd bump this after a couple weeks! I'm anxious to hear how they're comin'!

#69 7 years ago

Got a Meteor recently. I'll email about this.

#70 7 years ago

Going to email Lee again, sorry to say it's not looking good at this point.

I heard back from Pinball Rescue. He is 70% complete on the artwork. This is great news.

#72 7 years ago

Great to hear, thanks for the update Rich.

#73 7 years ago

Yay! Thought for a minute the bad news was true.

#74 7 years ago

I know nothing about the art process and or how to replicate the artwork but apparently it's much more difficult than I thought. As with everything else in pinball we just need to be patient.

#75 7 years ago

Awesome!

#76 7 years ago

I'm interested. How do I order/sign up?

I haven't heard from Lee for about a month. i try not to keep asking because I know he's doing his best to get these done. Just hang in there for now.

OK, I emailed Lee early this morning and he replied today. They are nearing completion of the Meteor artwork and hope to be printing in about 2 weeks. I'm excited.

Great news, thanks!

I wish someone was doing the backglass!

I hear ya. Maybe some day CPR will since they are taking interest on the playfield.

#88 7 years ago

Good news. IMO, I am sure interest in BGs would increase once playfields are made. And Vice-versa. My PF isn't bad but I would love a new one. My BG is crap.

I have a NOS glass but it's not perfect. It has red score display windows.

Interesting - does it have all the masked text as well? The one I saw pictures of was missing one light (I *think* the 'High Score To Date', but I'm not 100% on that..)

Hmm, I'll have to check on that. Not sure what you mean by "masked text"

I dunno the official term for it - but it's that text that is 'invisible' until the light turns on behind it. ("Tilt", "Match", "Ball in Play" - though that one never turns off, "High Score To Date") .. I saw one Meteor, somewhere, that had the red windows, but one of those masked text lights wasn't present. Form the front of the backglass - it looked 100% normal. On the back side, you could see the text was missing from the one rock art.

Got an email from Pinball Rescue last night. The meteor plastics are ready for printing, so it shouldn't be too much longer.

#94 7 years ago

Awesome!
Now to get CPR to do the playfield.

I was just coming here to ask that - my 'spinner' looks nothing like that.
