Finally getting around to a pf swap on the meteor. The light banks share common power to the socket plate. I am installing resistors on the controlled lamps so they do not flicker. Do I just connect one leg of each resistor to the common socket plate?

Thanks,

Bumping this post. The solder will not stick to common socket plates. Here is my solution, although not elegant. Any reason why it shouldn't work?

Take single strand wire and connect at end on the socket plate at the pf screws, run it across the socket plate and solder each resistor to the wire. For the single line of bulb plates, the wire runs above the socket plate.

Just install an Alltek Light Board no need for anything else

Weebly prefered, but yes. THe amount of time spent on this soldering, plus the wire and additional mess (as well as failure points under the playfield), just get a replacement, LED-ready board.

That way, too, if you want to reverse it, just swap out the board for the original.

What are the differences between Alltek and Weebly? I've used Alltek boards alot but haven't used Weebly's before. Thanks.

Cheaper and he also provides unlimited support for his products. He ( @barakandl) is also a great guy who can be easily found in the forums helping others out whether it's his products or not.

This. While not directly affecting the lamp driver here, his MPU has some added features which could really come in handy in the future, as WELL as offering newer bug-fixed ROMs, which the Alltek guys said they would never do. :/
