WhiskeyTango - I think your drop mech is seated to closely to the front of the playfield gap. It looks like your drops are rubbing the front of the gap and aren't seating and getting enough room to rest on the lip of the mech. Try moving the entire mech back just a bit.

That's me. I can touch up the missing paint in top corner if anyone is on the fence, only the black is missing. I also have a lot of random playfield parts if anyone is looking. I bought a partial game out of warehouse and frankenstiened one good game out of 1 and a half games.

The base for the head does taper. Here's a few pics, remember the front piece needs a gap to keep the glass edge protected.

The cord is a flat ribbed on. It hangs loose in the cab and ties into the line filter.

Yes you will definitely want a 3 prong plug. My grounding plug got left in the socket last time I unplugged it so it's new power cord time for me as well.

@neilmcae are you talking about when the ball is launched from the trough and gets held up under the apron? The end of the trough ramp has 2 forks at the end of it, try shimming the top fork up just a little bit to prevent the ball from coming to rest.

If your ever having trouble and the online schematics suck for one classic stern try a different game. All classic sterns run off of the bally 2518 MPU so most of the wiring is universal when it comes to the backbox wiring harness.

Switch 20 on the mpu

Make sure that switch 8 is turned on. I think 23 & 24 have something to do with the way it works also.
