I joined the club this weekend. I picked this up at TPF. The playfield was really dirty and has some bare wood spots. But I’m on the list for a new CPR playfield and plan to do a full restore. This will go nicely with my Stars.

Has anyone used the Stern MPU-200 NVRAM Adaptor from https://nvram.weebly.com/ (bottom of the page) successfully in their Meteor? It replaces the U8 and U13 chips. I was thinking of putting one in mine so I don't have to mess with a remote battery holder.

Quoted from nocreditdot:

I see the new playfield are listed on cpr. Just ordered mine.

Were you on the preorder list and got an email?

#1388 4 years ago

I am also on the pre-order list and also eagerly awaiting the email. I was put on the list March of last year. I am praying they get to me before they run out.

Still awaiting my email from CPR for a playfield. Has anyone else gotten an email lately? I put my name on the list last March.

Is CPR still shipping out these playfields? I haven't seen any recent posts. Has CPR addressed the missing numbers? I'm sure many customers are upset, how many are returning their playfields?

I still have not received an email about my playfield. I sent an email to CPR but haven't gotten a response yet. I still want one because mine is down to the wood in a few spots. I was planning on clearing the playfield anyway so I can add the numbers before I clear. I would think they would offer some sort of a discount on these now, but I don't know.

Anyone else have a meteor with displays wired like this?

No mine are wired like normal, no ribbon cables.

Quoted from Pinball_Nate:

Personally, I hate the red posts on Meteor, I put blue on and it looks so much better!!

Can you post a picture, I would like to see what the blue posts look like on the game.

Will do. Plastics are supposed to arrive tomrrow.[quoted image]

Looks great! Did you have any issues with the right 3 bank drop target slot? I thought I read they didn't cut the slot long enough. Between the missing text, mis-sized drop target slot, incorrect dimpling and roll overs completely filled with clear, these Meteor playfields are a train wreck. CPR should have bought all of them back and fixed them at no charge to the customers. I have one in the box that I will have to deal with when I get to it. This was the last playfield I bought from CPR. Its sad their attention to detail just isn't there and even when pointed out they just blow you off. I doubt I will be buy anything else from them in the future.
