Quoted from Chalkey:I got the stern rebuild kids and think it flips great. Plenty of mo' through the spinner.
I did the same. I liek the feel of that era flippers so I didn't see a need to change them.
Yeah I just re-pinned half the Rect board myself....had the old soldered right to pin thing going on
I was conflicted whether to just do the parts that needed it or the entire board...but I didn;t want to push it.
you could turn it purple but; gross.
Usually smaller posts will go under plastics that don't have threads coming through the plastics.
EDIT: I don;t remember many on meteor...but certain(t)ly your outlane posts are the shorts
Quoted from Pinball_Nate:TheLaw: Purple gross?? I think it'll bring out the purple in the pf - can't see why they ever put red in there?........the purple is dark enough so I think it'll look nice............
Meh I'm personally into keeping it orginal but it's your machine. I don;t kow how easy it will be to find purple shorties though. make a measurement, but I'm guessing they are the 1" height
Low posts go under plastics with a screw, and in the outlines. Tall posts go whoever there is a top hat that goes through the plastic to have a faster go on top.
Look at the pi right above outer posts, talls on the sides with nuts on top, shorts go under the plastic.
Does anyone know what the Q-resistor # associated with the 4X bonus lamp? Is it just me or is it NOT listed in the lamp schematics section? I must just be missing it?
Thanks!
Quoted from John_I:There is a legend on the lower right of the Lamp board schematic (page 29 in the linked schematic). Looks like its J2 pin 2, Q3. It just says "4X"

Very interesting indeed. The IPDB "Schematics" has the same info as a printed manual I saw tonight that leaves 4x/2x/1x out completely. The full manual you posted/IPDB does have the info, although when we tested it we got Q31 for the 4x lamp. Anyway I'll post this is anyone misses it like i did. Thanks for looking it up for me.
1x - J2-14 Q6
2x - J2-16 Q19 "Lamp Driver board page - 2X lamp goes to J2-15, not J3-15"
4x - J2-2 Q3 or Q31 Update - confirmed on my board Q31. Q3 is shoot again...so they probably just left the '1' off
Quoted from Pinball_Nate:What's the "spinner lights??"
-Nate
The light row by the spinner I assume
Quoted from CaffeineSlug:I think I've tried all the gaps. When I gap the flipper bat up a bit, it just falls back down when I lower the playfield.
If it isn't binding it's got to be the springs. Do you have the old springs? any Springs? Just cut the spring and make a new pig tail if you have to.
Quoted from TractorDoc:The posts that do not support the plastics are secured to the playfield with screws,...
Yes Sterns idiotic plan to stay away from tophat posts god those things suck. I don't think I actually had any issues with my Meteor ones but almost all the nine ball ones where totally jacked...dremel city to get them off. Then getting new ones long enough adding washers etc etc
Anyway, my real point is people get too worked up about the posts. I see all the time "Help which posts go where?!!"
The short ones are obviously too short to support the plastics or posts. Can the talls ones fit under the plastics without scratching/touching them? Then they're fine.
I'll have to check what my original set up was.
Quoted from dothedoo:Or just live with it....it doesn't happen but once in a blue moon.
Yeah I've only seen it happen once.
Quoted from semicolin:... I say keep it in, learn to replicate it, and destroy the competition.
Yeah I was happy to take my win when it happened to me but after a few minutes and realizing it's never going to stop you gotta move on
Quoted from westofrome:This is tempting. Curious to see pics if anyone has all of these installed in their game.
They make great products. Haven't used on Meteor but have used bigger sets for Nine Ball.
20190115_104644 (resized).jpgQuoted from KSUWildcatFan:What's weird is none of that has been touched and it's suddenly acting this way. Doh.
Could just be a weird occurrence of WOWs meeting up, but it could also be a dipswitch getting flakey.
