    It is hard to tell from the photo but it looks like all the LEDs are lit for the fuses.
    If they are all lit then I am afraid this is going to get very expensive.
    The game should be able to start without a DMD connected. He could try that. But he could well have sent high voltages into the ColorDMD AND the CPU board.

    Just measured the voltage on my Star Trek and I was getting 27v AC on that connector. That isn't good.

    Does he not have any other SAM games ?
    I would be looking to find out exactly what is knackered before spending money. There are a few board repair guys on Pinside that may be able to repair the SAM CPU board (if that is indeed damaged).
    You might want to change the thread title to Stern Metallica Board Damage Help or something.
