The Snake Mod²

Pingraffix Snake mod (2D or 3D) has been well received by Metallica pin owners, however the problem is that it blocks the view of the upper rollover lane lights.

yzfguy has tried a mirror solution (https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/metallica-owners-thread/page/144#post-3176982)

Fytr cut the snake mod to get a better view of the rollover lights and pop bumpers (https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/metallica-owners-thread/page/153#post-3242420)

Other's have proposed adding lights to the ramp.

My solution to the snake obstructing the rollover lights is to use Dirty Donny guitar picks with lights synched to the respective rollover lane lights.

I call it The Snake Mod Mod or The Snake Mod².

This mod will work for all Metallica machines EXCEPT new run Metallica Premiums with LED boards mounted under the playfield.

Thanks to Fytr 's suggestion. I re-routed the wiring. It looks so much cleaner.

I've listed sets for sale for those that are interested.

Based on yzfguy input, these will not work with new run MET Premiums with LED boards mounted under the playfield. Maybe if I can get my hands on one to test I can figure something out.
