Just don't do what I did today. Was having a great game, closing on 500m ball 2. Had already done Cyborg, Trooper SJ, and had 2mtm lit and just needed to hit the center ramp to start it. Needed to give the game a slight nudge to prevent a SDTM drain and fired the ball up the ramp to start 2mtm and it tilted just as it hit the target. Ball 3 get a served up and none of the modes we're lit. Doh! Won't do that again...
