So this happened to me before, I was playing a game on my Metallica Premium and noticed none of the GI was on. I power cycled it and it was fine and has been fine for a month or more. But yesterday, it happened again. No GI, but now a power cycles doesn't correct it. Just no GI anymore. Any ideas what to L@@K for?

Check the GI driver board on the center of the play field. When mine went out it was the 3 pin connector on the upper right corner. Stern sent me a new harness and board. While waiting for the delivery I bush fixed it by sticking a small optical screwdriver in the end of the connector to bend the contacts more so they better secured to the posts when clipped on.

I have also read people saying the data cable from the GI board to the back box has gone bad on them also causing this same issue but tha wasn’t my scenario.

I’d just try to wiggle the 3pin connector while the game is turned on, if you get a flicker that’s probably it.

I reseated the cables on the GI board as you recommended and they are back on. Guess I will see how long it lasts. Thanks!

Awesome, glad I could help. I obviously don’t know when your game was built but mine was from late 2013. What I was told is that stern has since changed those connectors to have more than one contact point to stop this problem from occurring.

Had this same problem of all G.I. Out. The only thing that got all g.i. Back on was to disconnect the connector on light board for the rear backboard g.i. Lights . Everything now works except the back panel lights. Never got around to trying a new g.i driver board .one of these days.... The game is a Refinery prem and has additional lights back there .

This just happened to my Met. Funny thing is a couple months ago I noticed one of the gi bulbs was out then today all of them. Reseated the cables and now all gi is working again.
