The family wants a new Metallica premium.
Before I buy a premium over a pro
Can someone tell me if the hammer ball lock problem been resolved?

There were problems at first but Syern released a new board for the hammer magnet. No major. issues after board replacement. Very rarely hammer not working correctly. Before . it was very frequent. I bought my premium in 2013 . Revised board was the solution.

I would think newer Metallica’s would have the revised board. I sent original to my distributor and received improved one.

I have a first production Premium and never regretted it! But yes, there were some hammer magnet issues back then. If you buy a new one, you should have the "revised" board. I'd go with Premium.

Thank you! I’m not a huge fan of the band . I like a handful of songs. I do like the pinball machine very much though. I’ve played the pro and premium a descent amount.

Every Prem I played the hammer never worked 100% including my LE. Sold it and bought a pro and never regretted it

Definitely not 100% but mine is about 98%. I’m good with that. Cool toy.

Wow ....... it only miss’s 2 times out of 100 hits on the lock shot. I’d go back to a Prem if I could see one do that

Mine hammer works perfectly, i bought the game in 2018. The premium is definitely worth the extra money imo but the pro is great also if you wanted to save a few bucks.
