Here's my sparky. My wife painted him up for me. Over the years, she has done my STTNG Borg ship, Scared Stiff bones, TWD well walker, and IMDN Anubis. Always great work. I think this is no different.

Quoted from Bre:It gives you a bit of a heart attack with the terrible unwinding noises but like Aurich said, his torso does come off and makes painting so much easier. If you're going to take him apart, be gentle with it so you don't end up warping the shape of the spring.
I normal unwind him a couple turns and paint the body while the spring is still connected to the chair only because the hassle of painting him while he's still connected isn't as bad as trying to get the torso back on to the chair.
Kudos to all the painters who can easily reassemble Sparky.
I need two custom sparkys painted. One as a WW2 solider and another as Deadpool with his mask partially pulled up like on the backglass. Willing to trade powdercoat work or pay

Chuck went above and beyond. I'm really happy how it turned out.
Quoted from Draegermeister:bre painted this one for me. I put UV flashers in the spotlights to pick up the fluorescent paint on the old school “Metal Up Your A$$” shirt.

What is the best ( durable ) paint to use for customizing Sparky?

Acrylic paint is fine. The ball rarely touches sparky. If in doubt coat it in laquer.
Been too long , almost 4/5 years since the last koop kustoms sparky , kept a few stocked away for a rainy day .
