Quoted from robertmee:

While I agree SM is Stern's best recent game, is MET really better than AC/DC?

To me...waaaaay better, not close. But it's all subjective and personal taste.

Had both the pro and the LE; didn't miss my LE at all

Quoted from epthegeek:

I almost wish they sold the LE features as add ons for the pro. I'd pay to add the spinners and the GI lightshow (if they're properly controlled by the code), even if I had to install it myself.

There's a spinner kit by Hooked. I think he's still taking orders for another run. Not factory by still fun.

Or, you can just use the parts list I posted in that thread and roll your own.

Yeah, and I'd do those if there was code to support it.

Quoted from Pinbalz:

The Lightshows are important to me and I'm not a fan of the improper lock bar.

Exactly, or those pegs instead of the rails, the stiff snake jaw that don't move, the cross don't move.
That new lockbar design.. I don't like. These are things that helped me decide to save up and get a Premium, but I would have enjoyed the pro model though, but not as much with the missing features. Just glad I wasn't impatient and got a Pro, waited a few months longer to afford the Premium and all the goodies from Pinball Refinery.

Quoted from nicoga3000:

Yes, sort of. Original pro runs were incandescent. New runs are LED.

Does this mean white LED's or do they match the insert or some different color scheme other then the older pro? Just curious because I see older pros for $4999 and if it is the matter of swapping to LED I rather would save some money. Did anything else change from the older run to the led run?

I am guessing the color changing LED's are Premium/LE only.

They are all white LEDs. You can always buy select ones later.

Check out this thread for the other differences:

From what I can parse:

- LEDs
- Speaker panel has art package and is tilted

Aaaand that's it.

Isn't that a matter of taste? Both are great pins, 2 different desigs. Why don't you play both and determine for yourself which one is better.

Haven't had an opportunity to play MET that's why I asked. I'm not looking to buy one was just curious if this was a general consensus...I'd always heard the opposite. But to answer your question everything is a matter of taste...but in general consensus opinions can be helpful. It's a starting point.
