Have my Metallica LE for about two weeks now. Right out of the box, broken DMD, (Replaced). Hammer board needed repairing (Replaced) Today broken drop target. Has anyone contacted Stern for new drop targets? I read on earlier posts that Stern has made the drop targets stronger? Has anyone seen the new drop targets and is that true? I am quite frustrated that after two weeks I am already having to repair and replace parts on a new NIB pinball machine. I have 20 year old machines that don't need as much maintenance. I don't mind repairing pinball machines, but parts breaking after 50 plays, its a bit ridiculous.

Ando, you are totally right about changing all the drop downs. When I called Stern, they told me to test all the drop downs when I took out the mechanism by bending the plastic on them to see if they broke. Guess what, the other two drop downs that were still intact snapped completely in half. Word to the wise, change all three drop downs when you have the mechanism out of the machine.

I created a video of the install of the hammer mods about a year ago. I show both the hammer and skull from Vinny in the video. They both look great.
