What size polyurethane rings on slings? I bought original size 2 id and seem way to small. My slings engage about 1/10 as much as they use to and I'm afraid it's putting to much pressure on the posts. 2 1/2 id or maybe even bigger? Someone must have right size installed. Lmk thanks. BTW I did my machine in orange translucent and it's poppin!!

Quoted from gweempose:

When using polyurethane or silicone rings instead of rubber, the same sizes should still work. 2" is definitely the correct size for MET slings. Have you tried adjusting the switch gaps?

Nothing to do with the switch gap, as the ball is not strong enough to push the tight 2 id polyurethane into the switch. It only activates on about 1 of 10 hits now. Put any other 2 id ring in and ball is getting zapped all over the place.

So tight I'm taking them off as they'll be sure to damage my game. Here's a pic, second one is me trying to pull on it with no give at all.

Quoted from gweempose:

I've never used polyurethane rings, only the Titan silicone ones. Is it possible that you got a defective batch that is slightly too small? Can they be stretched out a bit?

Actually I'm not sure what they are, it's the brand cointaker sells. Stretching not gonna work on these imo.

Quoted from ViolinSteve:

I use translucent Titan silicone rings on my MET Pro and ordered both the 2 and the 2.5" size, since I wasn't sure. The 2" are just a bit tight. The 2.5" are working really well for me.

Thanks, wanted to be sure 2 1/2 would be big enough before ordering again.

So I was playing my met pro and during multiball the left flipper stuck on. Just as i realized the fuse next to the flipper coil blew. Put a new fuse in and just as I expected left flipper engaged again. I hurried up shut off before fuse blew.

Fact: it's not mechanical as flipper goes down when not powered, also moves freely when off.
What I suspect: if recent memory serves me right I recall someone else with a modern stern mention same thing said it was transistor.
Any and all helpful advice appreciated.

Quoted from MustangPaul:

Yup the transistor blew, you should replace the resistor too.

The bad: never had to make such a delicate repair.
Good news: I'm getting a nice soldering station that was recommended here from my wife for Christmas.
