Does anyone know where I can get a new sparky magnet or have the part #(I"ve looked at Marco and can't seem to find)? I'm sure that everyone else's is beat up as well. What concerns me is that some of the dents seem like they are lower than the play field and if I raise it the upper part of the magnet will be to high. I know in the end it will get beat up again, but it would be nice to start new again.

What did you use to sand yours. Did you round the edges once your were done as well?

Quoted from HoakyPoaky:

Most important mods IMO
1) Color DMD
2) Shaker motor
3) Turn that turtle into a snake! (Fangs, Led eyes, tongue decal, undercab LEDs linked to snake lit lamp)
4) Remove the slow songs not tied to their own modes (Unforgiven, One, etc) for harder, faster tracks
5) Creeping Death UV Light Rails from Pinball Refinery

4) Remove the slow songs not tied to their own modes (Unforgiven, One, etc) for harder, faster tracks
I didn't know you could do this^^^^^..How is this possible, I would love to ad some songs?

How many here have not mylared the sparky magnet? How well is that area holding up? I know mylar on the magnet will get chewed up in probably 50 games, but it would have been nice if Stern put mylar donuts on the game like IM.
Rob

I was really worried about the abuse that area takes and after doing the research on the protectors avaialbe and hearing about mylar getting chewed up right away I've been cutting out the "static cling" Avery and Graphix sheets to put around the Sparky magnet and the Hammer drop through magnet. As long as you cut out the magnet area, you'll get a-lot of games out of them and piece of mind, but either way they are disposable and they peel right off. I've done this on the doc-oc magnet on Spiderman as well and its been working great!

Picked these up a while back(from Pinball Life) and wanted to share. Just installed a set on AC/DC as well. Made by Laserific and a bit oversized, but really adds a lot of life to the game as well as protects.

Lookin good...NOW if you have the nerve go to post # 3406,3428 and 3436 to see how to make the out lane plastics look even better. My post is #3436.

You're braver than I. You've taken them to the next level!

So where is everyone buying their balls from lately. I looked on pinball life and didn't see those shiny ones listed anywhere? I wanted to make sure I bought a set that could not get magnetized.

They disapear when they are out of stock at Pinball Life. You may want to email them and find out when the next batch is due in.

Quoted from pcprogrammer:

I ordered a full cliffy set and am wondering also about mylar on the sparky magnet vs carbon cliffy. There is a clear plastic piece coming out from sparky legs but I don't know if that comes from the factory or if it's a mod?

I highly recomend Cliffy's for

1 Ball Through
2 Shooter Lane kit
3 Myster Scopp

I prefer the cut it your self static cling vinyl for sparky and hammer magnet. It can be removed at anytime with no downside. If you do choose to do the Cliffy for the magnet, make sure its level. This is a good idea no matter what you do there, and replace or recheck once your magnet turns into a mushroom as they all do over time. Magnets that aren't level, wreck playfield, games that don't have Cliffy's will chip in shooter lane/ball through and have beat in wood around mystery scoop. This includes HUO, just the way things are.

Where do you order that static cling vinyl?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002J6CO9I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00

I cut small strips to prevent ball lines in the in/out lanes as well
