Quoted from Aurich:Nice Mike, I like the picks better now that they're not super lavender.
Me too
Getting ready to start do the dots for "Seek and Destroy", can someone please tell me how to activate this mode?
Thanks in advance.
Quoted from PinCrush:Here is my Metallica custom topper. It interacts with the game through a PIG2 controller.

Nice.
Quoted from Drewblood419:Scored aurich's hammer mod from a good buddy of mine at SFGE. My METLE is looking badass!!! I also added a backalley creations eyeball pinball as the captive ball image.jpg

Nice side rails.
Note for all MET SmartDMD users:
1.64 is compiling now, should be ready this afternoon
FYI - I've converted the marco file from "In-frame" to "Serial Side-Channel", so moving forward all updates will require the serial add on.
Still working on "Seek & Destroy", but it's almost done
Quoted from Rensh:So, have a SMARTDMD in mine running with the colorfile of great PinballMikeD. Problem is I have a painted Sparky by Geert Koop (his very first one I may add , Sparky goes Hawai) and colored is flesh Sparky.
So spent some time altering PinballMIkeD's work and see

Nice in green . This type of DIY is what I love in SmartDMD and yep, ColorDMD looks great to but I am a DIY guy
Per your request, I've fixed the "Battery" bug and tweaked the color assignments, so it should be easier for you to color Sparky green
Here are some examples:
Quoted from Taygeta:While I still love my IM, after digging into the Ruleset (thanks Aurich for linking to the great write up), Metallica has become my favorite Stern.
May be trading my favorite pin of all time (my immaculate TZ) for a MOPLE. I never saw this coming. Metallica is a hell of a game. And I don't even care for the band that much!
Agreed.
MET 1.64 is now available for SmartDMD. The color file is FREE for all licensed SmartDMD users, just drop me an email and it's your
I still have some more work to do, but I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel
At this point we're using over 100 color palettes with more than 400 unique colors.

Thanks for the kind words.

FYI - You can build your own SDMD for around $200. When I get some free time I'll post a "how to" Youtube video. It's pretty easy and doesn't cost much compared to most MODs.
Quoted from MustangPaul:Cool, you could put your name on a coffin if you wanted.
The "M" is for "Mike"
Quoted from Purpledrilmonkey:By the way, if you do change it to four horsemen I want it
Working on the Sparky animations for Rens at the moment; he want's a green Sparky. What does the "Four Horsemen" text look like? This?
Quoted from Rensh:some video footage of Mike D great work

Made Spraky myself green to match my game
Interesting, I see a few things I need to address. I like the green sparky though
Quoted from Rensh:Yep around 7:30 you see some strange stuff
But still amazing work
Looks like the "blackened" palette is assigned at the first frame of the animation, but is reverting back to the "Default" palette. I was planning on assigning palettes to every frame once I'm done, so that should fix the issue. I need to reorganize all the palette anyway, just don't want to do that until it's 100% finish.
Quoted from knockerlover:Custom topper finally arrived and completely exceeded my expectations. Daniel from tilt topper.Com outdid himself and made this idea come to life. The tombstones are a tribute to 3 of James Hetfields guitars and Daniel even matched the font. I didn't realize it was 3d, and has an led strip shining up the front. The sound reaction works great as well. Definitely recommend.20150723_201323.jpg
Cool.
Quoted from HoakyPoaky:Finally joined the club this weekend! And my first NIB purchase MET LED Pro Custom Pinball Refinery Edition....all I can say is WOW! Steve did an incredible job building this pin. I am completely blown away! Awesome gameplay & increadibly fast with a new coat of wax & those translucent silicone rubbers/superbands. It's a rush!
If anyone is interested.....I created another thread posting some more photos, describing all the upgrades installed & also posted some nice gameplay video. This might be the finest MET Pro out there Thanks again Steve! Enjoy!

Congrats.
Quoted from j_m_:how does this look?
MET-4 horsemen.jpg
It looks pretty damn good to me. I'll get it added to the master macro file.
Ok, my turn JM..... How does this look:

No worries, an MET apron is coming
Quoted from damageinc55:Don't bother. I'll never see it
That's why I saved it for last
Although, I'm virtually unstoppable with the glass off
Quoted from epthegeek:I can't imagine the amount of time it would take to redraw all the assets in Metallica, there's tons!
You never know... Somebody might come up with a way to do it. Hell, they might even do it for free
Quoted from epthegeek:If SmartDMD expands to being able to replace assets on the fly for re-rendering with higher detail art that will be baller. Squared.
Edit: Oh wait, you may just be referring to the fact that you re-drew it all for color via SmartDMD and not hinting at glorious HD.
I wouldn't rule anything out, but I'm not making any promises either
Let's just say MET is my favorite pin at the moment, so I'd welcome the work.
Quoted from LOTR_breath:Wow! Never had a Seek & Destroy like this one. Kept it going through a Coffin MB stacked with Graveyard MB, then kept it going for a long time during my second CIU mode which was For Whom the Bell Tolls. The final score was 364M which is pretty good, but the S&D score blew me away when I put my initials in!

Nice!!!!
Quoted from j_m_:I've completed migrating all of mike d's original macro to 1.64 for smartdmd and am now starting to work on animations that were not completed.
here's an idea of what I'm thinking for "the end of the line"thoughts? comments?
Looks great
