Quoted from Mudflaps:If I remember to take out the balls before lifting the playfield, I feel like a hero for the rest of the day.
Yeah, I feel great if I remember to put the balls back in before the glass and lockbar are on.
Quoted from Thanos75:The more I see those Baywatch machines the more I think one would look great next to my Metallica aswell.
Hoff approved!
Quoted from 85vett:I've gotta say, after playing in the TPF tournament this year I think I may adjust my CIU settings like they did. They lowered the number of shots to get to CIU which I felt really opened up some new strategies and took away some of the chopping in the game.
Do you know what the new settings are?
I just noticed this the other day, on both sides of the cabinet. I don't know if it was like this when I bought the game, in 2015. When playing the cab has always felt a little wobbly, especially compared to my other machines (wlms/bally). The rail bolts inside are all tight, everything inside is tight, so I'm not sure how or when this happened. Anyone have ideas what I should look at? Thx
Quoted from jim5six:I am wondering if the bolts have pushed down on the cabinet causing an oval hole due to weight? Or is this a decal issue only? If the bolt holes have indeed elongated then this would affect the playfield level and slope and that sucks! And to fix that I would guess you could create a bushing that re-centered the bolt in the original hole, but it would be hell on the decal...

All the rail bolts seem tight, but I have not removed them and checked the holes for slop... Hopefully i can check tonight. When I got the machine and after I leveled the playfield, the cabinet head and cabinet was way out of level. Visually it was quite obvious with the machine sitting between two other pins. I never investigated further... thanks all. Granny boobs and all.
Hey all, i'm having issues i believe with my sparky/grave opto transmitter board. Even after re-seating the main connector. Randomly it will award hits on both sparky and grave shots, even in switch test mode. I disconnected the 5 pin power I/O connector and the problem goes away. The board is cheap, but are there any common repairable failures on the board? Dosen't seem like a cold solder joint as nothings get activated when I wiggle any connectors, components or wires.
pasted_image (resized).pngQuoted from woody6092:Hey @pinballdork, I've had the exact same issue. Random sparky hits when you hit fuel, the snake or even the ramps. Have to hit the center target to get a true register.
If I leave the machine in switch test mode, and don’t touch anything, It’ll randomly register both switches, also. I haven’t tried disconnecting the switches and leaving the power& IO to the board. I’m not home. But I do have one LED on the board that is lit. Funny, the optos did seem to occasionally trigger when I fiddle with the fuel shot area also. But not consistently. ???
