Interested in a trade, locally, for a Metallica premium for my Rick and Morty BSE…

Thanks for looking.

Does anyone have a picture of this sparky mod? I’m interested too!

I just joined the club a couple weeks ago!

Quoted from ktm450:

When I installed the rising cross mod I made a little cutout of the LE artwork to fit in behind there to filter the bright light. You can see it in this video:

Wow, I didn’t know you could do this on a pro!

Where do I buy that mod and what all do I need?

TIA for any info.

#20039 1 year ago

Also interested in getting this mod on my pro.

If anyone can help me with where to get it please let me know.

Quoted from Rob_G:

It might be more cost effective to just get a premium.
Rob

Not sure about that… premiums are going for like 11/12k

I was looking for one for a while. A very nice pro came up locally a few months ago and I jumped on it. I am very happy with it and saved 3 or 4 thousand (not the way my wife looks at it…)

I’ve played both versions a lot and although I would’ve preferred a premium as I usually get. I’m happy to say, Metallica pro is awesome!

Anyway, that rising cross mod is very cool but if it’s crazy money than I don’t have a problem passing on it.

But, I’m m still interested and my question still remains though; is this mod available? Also, if it is, how much will it cost?

Any info is much appreciated
Thanks

I sure someone can provide the details. If you search this thread it’s been discussed with all the details…not sure if anyone actually sells it as a kit but I am sure you can source the parts needed.

Ok, thank you.

Quoted from ktm450:

The board is no longer available. It is run through the total lightshow board that gives the Pro the Premium lighting plus more.
If you are interested this is the Total Light Show thread and the post about the rising cross:

Thank you.

Quoted from RobF:

Yep. Just very slow to start dolling them out. I had my game at the NWPAS this passed weekend and wanted to use the show as another opportunity to stress test the design. I haven't unpacked since yesterday's teardown, but I will give it a good inspection to confirm it made it through ok.

What will you be charging for this mod?

Quoted from DK:

What’s the current price ranges of a HUO METLE w Colordmd?

I was looking for a premium a few months ago and usually prefer them because of the additional Mechs and features. But I bought a pro on this title and I can honestly say I’m very happy with it and glad I saved my self at least 2k to 2.5k in doing it.

Prices are stupid right now and It’s hard to believe that a used pro of this game is going for almost as much as a brand new stern premium. I got lucky with one that had nice add ons and it was in excellent condition. No regrets on making the purchase.

Metallica is an amazing game. It doesn’t have a ton of mechs and ramps but everything comes together so we’ll. The music the call outs the sound effects… Amazing! I love it. I play it more than everything else I own right now, including my Godzilla premium.

I snagged a nice picture off the internet of original pinball art from Dirty Donny and I printed out a nice dust cover for my machine.

I know some people think covers are cheesy but I really get a lot of dust and stuff falling down onto the glass during the week when I don’t play my machines. So this takes care of that and I think they look awesome too!

While we're on this topic, what's a Metallica Roadcase going for ?

similar to premium price, I believe

#20100 1 year ago
Quoted from mastercello:

I believe higher, because at the end there are more rare than the LE as they did produce less Roadcase Premium than LE's.

Yes maybe, but I think the outside art is not really desired, especially the translite.

Someone offered me that model for my Deadpool premium about a year ago.

Quoted from Anony:

Thanks. The teeth ended up popping out while I was playing the other day so obviously something is wrong. I'll have to open it up again and see what I can do.

Similar thing happened to me. I put a set of fangs in and had very difficult time with it. It was super tight and I had to loosen more than just the top screw. Then, after I installed it, one of the fangs broke on like the 2nd or 3rd ball I played. That sucked. That was months ago now.

Melissa at Cointaker was supposed to send me a replacement set but she never did. I had a one toothed snake for a while. I finally just yanked the thing out the other day.

Probably a long shot but does anyone have a spare snake mod ramp decal? I ordered the Pingraffix 3d snake mod and they sent me everything except the decal... I've reached out to them but no response yet and I'm trying to weigh my options in the event they say they can't give me it.

Did you check with Cointaker?

Quoted from ColoradoJordan:

Question for the forum; what would you say is the average price for a MET premium in excellent condition with nice tasteful mods? I looked back at the market archive, and prices seem to be all over the place Prices where a lot lower last year. I am guessing it is unlikely they trend back down barring a major recession. I'm asking as a potential buyer. Thanks for the insight.

11k to 13k

I always go premium on sterns but went pro on this one and i’m very happy with my decision and this pro machine. And, that I saved at least a few thousand dollars!

Expect to pay $7500 to $8500 for a nice pro.

Quoted from ColoradoJordan:

Hi all, new MET premium owner here. I just picked this up from Paddy-O in Parker, CO. The pin is immaculate. Seller was awesome. It has the following mods:
- Color DMD
- Flipper Fidelity speaker upgrade
- Shaker motor
- Sparky helmet
- Snake fangs
- Snake mouth decal
- Snake Mod
- Cliffy protectors (full set)
- Titan rubber
- Lollipop rails
- Orange powdercoat
- New lockdown bar
- New magnet board
- Custom painted hammer (can swap with unpainted, if preferred)
- Pin Monk F-U-E-L Lens Bracket
- Modfather shooter rod
- Sparky Airball protector
- Orange plastic protector
Other than adding mirror blades, are there any essential mods I am missing? I realize you can get pretty wild with mods. Another question for you owners; is there a way to change the settings so that a song does not restart when you drain a ball?
Cheers and thanks.[quoted image]

Would you be kind enough to send a better pic of orange plastic protectors? I was thinking about getting some but couldn’t remember how they actually looked on the one machine I saw them on.

TIA

No problem. IMO they look great.

They do!

thanks!

Quoted from Pickle:

Ok…let’s put all the song stuff to bed..
Metallica is not a song based mode game…you pick a song at the beginning of the game and that’s the song….now depending on how far you get into the song on a ball will determine where the songs picks up at….if you drain quick it will start at the beginning…if you get a minute or two into the song it will start at a further point from the beginning…for comparison AC/DC always starts at he beginning of what song you selected if you drain….but the songs are modes and can be completed and a new song selected.
Metallica has 4 different multiballs and other time based modes that you work towards such as Fuel, Lady Justice, and Seek and Destroy. The object of the game is to get the mini wizard modes (Crank it Up) and hopefully make it to End of the Line. So Metallica is not mode based as far as the songs go but there are modes you can achieve within the game. Each of these multiballs and modes have specific songs associated…some are selectable at the start of the game and some are not…so if you play these other modes you will here the song for that mode. Once that mode or multiball is over it will change back to the song you selected at the start of the game.
As far as changing songs that are loaded on the game you need to use Pinball Browser if you want to replace any songs. Just search the forum for Pinball Browser and you can read how to do it. There are plenty of people that have done that and you probably can ask here for suggestions of songs people have swapped out or even get a copy of the code from someone…it’s work to do it but people are usually happy to share.
Hope that helps….

Awesome info!

I may be selling our Metallica Pro. It's a one owner game with tons of upgrades including the Total Light Show, ColorDMD, LE spinners, LE factory rising cross mechanism(controlled by the TLS), Flipper Fidelity speakers, Monsters translite, and probably some other things I'm forgetting about.
What would be an appropriate asking price? Game has been well kept with regular cleanings and waxings.
Thanks.

Wow nice pro!

Probably 8/9k or more considering all the upgrades?

I paid $7900 for mine 6 months ago very nice machine with lots of upgrades.

Quoted from Spelunk71:

I realized that I had one of the connectors plugged in upside down temporarily. Apparently that was enough to fry the board. They are sending me a new one. PBL (Scott D) said they will try to manufacture the part differently to avoid this possibility, but you should be ok as long as you make sure to plug everything in EXACTLY as it appears in the instructions. Good luck.

Ha ha, I did that on my Flight 2000! Oops!

Quoted from Dee-Bow:

There is only one mb that's a 4 ball multi-ball(coffin mb) two are a 2-ball (snnnnaaaake, and the cemetery) and sparky mb is a 3 ball..* unless u get it in the snakes mouth twice during mb.. then it adds a ball*

I think you can add a ball to any of those multi balls… you just need to hit the lit stand up posts then hit the snake mouth.

Quoted from Anony:

All of the CIUs being single ball puts so much pressure on me lol. Every time I start one I psyche myself out and fail so fast. I don't think anyone has a high score on the board for any of them yet and I've had the machine a year.

What’s a CIU?

Bought it stock and have made a few improvements. Shaker and external sub hookup upcoming…Still deciding on art blades or mirrors. Does anyone have the Pingraffix Creeping Death mirror blades? The price is up there, but curious how they look[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

I have these mirror blades. Not sure who made them as they were already on the game when I bought it. I do like them a lot though, they look nice!

Quoted from j_m_:

I have a set of NOS master of puppets decals (5-pcs) that I purchased back in 2015, if anyone is interested.
they can be shipped in a heavy, thick walled 5" tube

You’ll want to put the tube inside a box because they charge more than double if you just ship the tube loose.

I sold my Metallica pro and I really miss it.
It will be back one day though.

Story progression games are fun but once you complete it. The thrill of trying to get there is not the same. I owned DP for just about 4 years. I completed the game at least a few times. It was still fun to play but the interest to progress through the story wasn’t fun anymore. Having said that, DP is an amazing game and I miss that one too!

Games with shallow code are not bad as long as they’re fun. I always enjoy a few quick games without the commitment of time trying to progress through a bunch of modes. I owned Godzilla for about two years, undeniably a amazing game, but I didn’t play it enough. It played too long for me and I’m not a competitive pinball player, I’m just average. Anyway, maybe I’m crazy, but I don’t miss Godzilla. Would take Metallica all day over Godzilla.

Just my 2 cents.

Has anyone actually heard of a new version, or is this all just people's imaginations?
As far as I know, any vault has been the same game. Maybe a metal backbox on a rerun or some other manufacturing differences, but where is all this concert footage LCD talk coming from?
