Question about the snake kickout. Where exactly is the snake kicking out on your flippers? I have played 2 of the both from NIB. Both different. One is closer to the tip (My machine) and the other machine is more towards the lane guide on the flipper.
I have had a flipper rubber snap in half already. 100 games. It was a green rubber. Not sure if it may have been defective to begin with out the hit from the snake it beating it up, will know in my next 100 games.
Quoted from Whridlsoncestood:I'm going with purple tonight on the flippers. My snake shoots to the left slingshot. I tried adjusting it last night but didn't get far. I'm tearing the game down as we speak so I will try to tweak it soon.
WOW! The left sling? Damn mine is left flipper tip. I see no adjusting. I wonder why so much different and what it is really intended to hit.
Quoted from newpinbin:No one has been able to tell me, but what or where did the character Sparky come from? Just trying to add to the nostalgia of the game since I don't know Sparky's meaning.
I assume it is in reference to this from a T-Shirt design.
Anyone with any powder coated armor on the Premium Road case?
Thinking of just a gloss black, not sure what other color would look good.
If anyone has pictures to share of a Metallica Premium Road Case with powder coating that would be great!
Quoted from chubtoad13:Chrome would probably look pretty nice on the road case version
I agree, but chrome is out of the price range. I can get the current armor powder coated much cheaper, just not sure if there is a good color for it.
Quoted from Lethal_Inc:Musically it sounds great, lyrically not a big fan of how James sings ever since St. Anger. Seems choppy and forced. I can't explain it, early Metallica was ground breaking and Bob Rock changed how James approaches singing and not for the better IMO.
If I am correct James took singing lessons sometime in the 90's and that is what changed his voice. He tries to sing and for the most part was better off just yelling and screaming.
Quoted from golfingdad1:What color leds, 6, are you guys using at the top back of the cab above sparky ?
On my pro I had 3 blue on one side and 3 purple on the other. It will also give the ramps a bit of coloring, looks pretty cool. I have yet to change them on my premium.
Quoted from Pinballlew:Their illusive "program" is not to disclose any of this publicly so nobody here can answer if the problem is fixed. Right now it is my belief that they are shipping problem games out still from what I have seen posted on here.
I think Stern doesn't address this publicly as they don't see any cost benefit to advertise that they will fix these issues. Must be cheaper to appease the vocal few then to issue an announcement publicly in fear of having to fix many more defective machines issues?
I would agree. A lot of these machines go on route and never see the light of day or a bottle of cleaner the rest of its life. Only us collectors care. Stern will make it right for those who contact them. Like always. They do not send you repair kits unless you request them.
Anyone know the sound locations of the songs for the Premium off hand?
I have this new Metallica Album and want to add all the new songs to the code.
Quoted from finnflash:How do you have the new cd? I want, i want
If you look hard enough on the WWW you can find it.
Quoted from KornFreak28:I believe this game needs the following songs:
Shortest straw
Anesthesia (pulling teeth)
The four horsemen
Am I evil
Green Hell
Stone cold crazy
Why do you want cover songs on a Metallica pinball machine? The last 3 on your list are covers, good versions but not original.
Mirrors with the graveyard look the best IMO. With the added UV lights it much better.
The rough finish vinyl is also the better look. Some of the are a smooth vinyl.
My first set was sent and was a smooth finish. The mirrors where damaged in shipping and my replacement set was a rough finish and a better overall look and feel. I asked Joe about this and was never given a real reason why the first set was not printed on the proper material. I would have never known had I not been set another set. So if you order some I would request and make sure you get the proper print.
Quoted from pghpinfan:This was it but I swear a couple of th typical mod stores had them. Just can’t seem to find it now.

Quoted from bicyclenut:Thank you for the heads up. Got one
Same, I got the first one. Great find. I think whatever one I do not use will look nice in on of the Stern Light box's.
Quoted from MustangPaul:You know about these don't you. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/lit-frames-led-backlit-translite-frames/page/3#post-5087824
Yes, I just seen those yesterday and thought they may be a better option. Anyone campare the two yet?
