After adding the 4ohm/10watt resistor for the slingshot coils, I still would get air balls but not as often. Finally I added a couple of washers underneath the slingshot posts to raise the center line of the sling rubber and after about a week of playing I have not had anymore air balls.

Next modification I did was to upgrade many of the lights to LEDs, changing up the colors in a few places, and using color changing LEDs for the Mystery lights. (Note, my machine was not NIB, and the original owner had changed a few lights, so I do not know what some of the factory setup was.)
I also added spinner targets to the two outer lanes. These are wired up for scoring and sound effects. (Thanks to pinside member "Hooked".)

Quoted from jimbeam42:

Sorry, I guess I didn't focus on the right thing. It's the Premium Ultra-Gloss carbon core pinballs that are available at Pinball Life as well. Switching to those have had a big effect on game play.

I bought my MET pin used and it had a mix of different balls in it, I could tell by the finish on them. So I bought 4 of the Premium Ultra-Gloss balls from Pinball life and now I noticed the plastic up post now seems to work as intended, stopping the ball and allowing it to dribble into the lanes for the pops.

Coffin multi-ball should be a Death Magnetic song to stick with the theme. I'd like to see them add that in a future update.
Such as:
>All Nightmare Long
>The Day that Never Comes

etc...

Just had a phenomenal game!!! “Got Blackened mode twice, Seek n Destroy mode twice, completed two Crank It Up modes, along with several multi-balls. I had never ever came close to this score before, it was crazy!”

Love getting Jack F'ing Pot! I have no idea how I get it!

If you have double scoring active when you hit a jackpot shot, then you get it.
(someone plz correct me if I am wrong)

Quoted from MMP:

Has anyone with an older pro modded with LEDs installed the 1.63 LED code? Or are you sticking with the standard pro 1.63?

Haven't tried it yet. I have most of mine LED'd at this point, everything except the parameter lighting. All the objectives: snake, cross, switch, spider arrows, guitar picks, flashers, slingshot, spot lights, the rectangle objective completions (down by the flippers), FUEL and lane lights are all LED.
Maybe I will download the code and try it this weekend...

Snake started not registering the ball when it was in his mouth, he would spit it out, but not credit it as having been in there. Thought it might have been an adjustment with the switch, but it was fine. I checked it with my ohm meter and the switch was not always reading zero ohms when closed, it wasn't open (when closed), but the resistance was a little too high occasionally. I took the switch out and sprayed some contact cleaner down into the button location and gave it about a dozen cycles. Works like a champ now!

Quoted from EricR:

Metallica should follow suit and do this themselves. The drums sounded terrible and James' voice was trashed for the original recording of St. Anger. A redo would be welcome, some of the songs could be really good if remixed.

I'd like them to remix and re-release Death Magnetic without the over compression.
