Does anyone in the Massachusetts area have a MET PRO that they would allow me to come play? I am thinking about buying one but would like to play it first.
Thanks
Gary

Quoted from Nexyss:Check pinballmap.com. Looks like there are two of them on location in Cambridge.
thank you
Quoted from stevevt:I think it should definitely play as fast as you think it should play.
Let me re-phrase it, It was no where near the quickness and in your face as Iron Man or Tron. The ball seemed to get hung up which slowed game play.
Quoted from FLpinball:Owned Iron Man (twice). Let me re-phrase it. That game wasn't right.
you didn't re-phrase anything you wrote???
Quoted from FLpinball:sorry. should have used the sarcasm icon.
It would be nice if someone could come on asking for feed back actually get an intelligent response and not an attack in a defensive tone.
Quoted from FLpinball:Respectfully understand your call out. IMO Metallica is one of the fastest games i have played.
Thanks. I reserved one from the next run and went to go play it to be sure I want it. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the flow and quickness. I really want to like it. Again, I'm wondering if it's not right because its on route. I wish I could play a HUO game in my area to get a better idea of what the game is all about.

Can you tell me why you prefer Met over IM?
Quoted from damageinc55:Mine hit the dock yesterday. Moved in and it's playing fast and furious. I love it!

would love to see a picture of the LED lit playfield, look awesome. Enjoy
Quoted from IdahoRealtor:I'm you're trying to choose between Met and IM, I don't think you can go wrong either way. I have them next to each other. 2 of John Borg's finest.
You're correct. The MET Pro is still easier to get, but I like the IM VE I played yesterday. The Met Pro was not playing that well at the location. I watched the tutorial video of Met and it looks pretty deep. Do you like one over the other?
Quoted from damageinc55:Like others have said already, you can't go wrong with either one. Does the theme on either one speak to you more personally? Me for example, I used to love Metallica back in the hayday, and i'm not much of a superhero guy. That makes decisions like these easy (had I been looking at both).
For me it's more about game play. I want a game that keeps me coming back for more whether I have a good or bad game. I know IM does that already. I've played it at two different places and they were both like new. The MET I played yesterday wasn't playing that good so I couldn't get a good idea of game play. I watched Bowen play it on the video and it I liked how it played, but I really want to play it before I buy it. I was hoping someone in the MA area was on this thread and would allow me to come play their game.
Quoted from Adios:Hell yeah! Just showed up!

Can you post some pictures of the playfield all lit up? Enjoy it.
Quoted from Adios:Excited stuff is showing up
Shaker, snake teeth tongue, sling protectors, sparky protector, super bands, shiny pinlife balls, green cup holder. image.jpg (Click image to enlarge)
where did you get the sparky protector?
Quoted from marksf123:I just got my game and getting ready to move it next to AC/DC which means I need to find a new spot for TRON (although I am not selling TRON).
I really like MET and and glad I was able to pick one up on this last build. I wanted the premium but I couldn't justify the inflated prices as they say they are not rerunning them. I really like the pro so all is well.
I just finished adding my MODs that I bought which are the following:
Topper
Flipper Fidelity LED backboard
Snake Fangs & Tongue
Pinbits Protectors
Sparky Double EL electrocution wires
Cemetery Entrance
Speaker Flasher on Ramps
Metallica Belt buckle
On Order:
Cemetery Pinblade
Mystery Scoop protector
Shaker Motor
Custom Apron Cards
Still thinking about:
Color DMD
Lighting for Pinblades

Well done. Nice game.
I decided to order mine today. Only problem. I have to wait until I come back from vacation to get it. Gonna be a long wait but time to get what I need. I already have the sparky protector. I need to order the cliffy for the mystery scoop. I was going to get leg protectors but was told the new Sterns don't need them, is that true? I need to get a magnet protector too, right? What else do I NEED to get before I push start? I have a list of WANT items, but I need to start with the protection items first. I appreciate your input.
Quoted from nicoga3000:First off, congrats!
I have felt leg protectors on mine because I had a set sitting around. Some love them, some hate them. They new cabinets DO have a small plastic bracket where the legs hit the decal, so they are probably not necessary. I just like the added bonus.
The only things I would say are really important:
Round magnet mylar
Ball drop mylar
Rickwh makes a Sparky protector that I snapped a pic of earlier (helps with airballs)
Cliffy for the Mystery Scoop
E: Buy better balls. I like my Pinball Life ones, but anything other than Stern balls are good (thanks dug)
That's all I can honestly think of that you should strongly consider. Maybe plastic protectors if you're into that.
Great info, where is the best place to get the ball drop mylar and magnet mylar?
Quoted from epthegeek:Sweet. Thanks much for the link.
This is different than the cliffy style, is it better?
Quoted from bushz:Does anyone know what page or what number post has the list of call outs?
I found them
Hate to ask again but did you add plastic leg protectors?
Also, which protector did you install in the mystery scoop?
thanks
Quoted from burningman:Just became a Pro LED owner on Saturday. Special thanks to Melissa at Cointaker.
so far:
ColorDMD
Geert Koop Sparky
Rickwh Sparky Airball protector
Shaker
Mirror blades
Fangs
Snake decal
Coffin decal
small Guitar
Polk dedicated powered sub
A few LED changes
And more coming....really enjoying the gameplay....friggin' Fuel is sick........

Looks great, no scoop protector?
I was putting an order together on pinball life and they don't have the Cliffy scoop protector. Seems odd, I saw it on there before.
