I decided to join the club and purchase a MET Pro. This thread has lots of information on varying types of protection needed for the machine. I believe the short list for the playfield is the magnet mylar, drop mylar, mystery hole protector. I also saw they have a whole playfield protector listed on bay. Has anyone purchased and installed this? Would this playfield protector be better than adding mylar? I am still relatively new to the hobby and want to ensure I do what's right to properly protect my new game. Any comments will be appreciated.

I just installed a set of service rails on my LED pro. I know this has been done before, but maybe it will help someone who hasn't installed them yet. I could not bring myself to drill through the bottom of my playfield. Therefore I decided to reuse the existing rod holes. I just used some 10-24 bolts I had laying around. I added a washer and tape around the bolt to make it snug in the hole. It worked great.

I am starting to get some bunching/bubbling in the side decals right at the flipper buttons on my LED PRO. Reading online there appear to be several types of protection for this area. There are clear vinyl, clear plastic, and the black powder coated stern ones (and the skull variant that also requires extra holes).

Has anyone used these? Do they work and do they look/feel ok?

I really don't think the clear vinyl will help in my situation. Looking for feedback. Thanks!

Quoted from MustangPaul:

If you want the black wrinkle powder coat lolly pop rails WITHOUT the screw holes get them from pinballlife, $60. I got them for my Batman Forever and had them powder coated candy blue. My BF uses the same rails as your game. I hate those lolly pop rails with the 3 screw holes, I like the smooth and clean look of the unscrew type and not putting screw holes through the side art and cab.

I like this solution the best. I thought all the lolly pop rails had the additional screw holes. Thanks - this is exactly what I was looking for.

I also ordered the replacement post, but the metal post appears to be smaller in diameter. I was worried that the ball may now catch on the lip of the hole when the post is in the down position and chip the clear coat. Do you see any issues once it was installed? I was afraid to try it.

Quoted from gweempose:

Am I correct in assuming that the finish on these siderails will perfectly match the finish on the existing hinges and lockdown bar?

Yes-they are a perfect match. I just installed my last weekend.
