Cut the cord and set that baby up. You have 21 more pins in your wishlist. But you bought the cream of the crop. I don't own this pin but I'm 95% sure it will be my next pin. Already talked to my distributor in May.

Quoted from XQ11:Y’all mind if I join you? Got my first pin ever today and it’s a #Metallica Pro! Still doesn’t feel real!

Quoted from roar:

"Like new condition! Has some minor defects and is a factory second"
It has chunks missing out of it! That isn't minor in my opinion.

It did look a little ruff in a few places. IMO

Quoted from pinnyheadhead:

Bwilson said if he bought for $3500 and bought a new PF he would be in for $4500 which would save $800 over NIB which would be $5300.

That's what I got out of his post. Saving of $800. NIB is the way I would go

#13647 5 years ago

Yes, if you get NIB you know where it's been. And that new pin smell. Ahhh

Quoted from finnflash:

If you want to sell something, like a pinball machine, wouldn't you clean it first? I feel bad for that pin.
This is pics from an ad on ebay.[quoted image][quoted image]

That pin needs to be rescued, call the authorities to remove it from the premises.

Quoted from chuckwurt:

Yeah once Pinball life stopped selling them and I had issues with the others, I went standard and never looked back.
Considering there’s a massive thread talking about pinball types, I’d say were in the minority for sure.

I go standard too from Pinball Life.

Quoted from bsobie:

You definitely can not go wrong with Metallica. Metallica was our First Pin and have owned that machine for about 4 years now.... Also had Aerosmith for just less than a year..... Will not get rid of Metallica..... My only regret is that I didn’t get the Premium but the Pro is still Awesome and very Addictive.

You kept Kiss and gave Aerosmith the boot. Just saying

I joined the club not long ago.
One of the last on the line.
It even matches my carpet...[quoted image]

I like that carpet, I need to replace mine soon. Where did you find that carpet at? Thanks. I too just picked up a used Metallica Pro Friday. Liking it so much thinking about buying a NIB and put this on location somewhere or sale it.

I'm giving my MET some long overdue love tonight for a change. This game is so so good. Not a huge fan of the band but im definitely a big fan of the game. The CIU modes are so much fun and exciting!

Don't forget your protection and Mylar up.
I've only owned this game about 6 weeks now, I wished I would've bought it sooner. It's a blast.

Finally got the rising cross mod working on my Pro!
Huge shout out to Rick (PoMC) for some detailed photos of the wiring. Helped me out a lot. Thanks very much mate.
I printed a small master of puppets image from the LE cabinet art to go behind and stop the annoying blinding flashers.

Looks good, I see the left orbit spinner that you added wasn't enough. I added spinner too but the cross you added is the ticket. What do you have you spinner tried into. Mines hooked to the upper top switch next to up post.

Quoted from woody6092:

Does anyone have the plastic piece in the attached image; an extra by chance? This piece is right under the right ramp; just below the right pop bumper. I'd rather not pay $189 for the entire plastics on Marco set but obviously would pay for this piece if someone has it. Would appreciate any feedback on somewhere else online that may have just this plastic piece. Thank you![quoted image]

If you can't find one......
I can remove mine and trace it, cut out a clear one. Scan the one from game and print it out and glue it to the clear acrylic. Or I can do one in transparent blue or florescent green, orange. That's what I did on my GoTLE better than nothing.

Does anyone do cpu/sound board repair for Metallica boards? I've got a problem with mine. Everything on J1p3 is dead. Tested for continuity and it tested positive...530 bucks for a new one on marco...yikes

I'm no expert,
So everything on J1-P3 is not working. All three pop bumpers, right and left slings, right inlane return and out lane, left inlane retune and out lane, shooter lane and the troughs.
Sounds like $5.00 (TRANSISTORS) Q2. I'm at work and can't get to manual. I hade to replace one on my Stern POTC. Let me repeat myself, I'm no expert. Enjoy time with family and wait on experience people to chime in. Merry Christmas

I have an issue hopefully someone has seen before.
I have a number of lights out. For example the 4 F-U-E-L inserts, the 3 inserts at the electric chair, the snake insert lights. A few others.
I've tested all the fuses.
I've done my best to look through the schematics and I even tried replacing the LED board for the Fuel lights since the schematics seemed to show that as the first board of a series all of which currently do not work. I get power at that board yet no lights. So I suppose it's a data issue of some sort and I don't really know where to go with that.
Any thoughts? Much appreciated. Thanks.

My guess would be transistor Q37. Trying to find a good playfield lamp wiring diagram.

Quoted from TronGuy:

I am in. Can pay whenever is convenient for you.
On a side note, I don’t have my machine yet. (Just paid today) what is the best choice of colordmd? Led or lcd?

I just received my (4) ColorDMD LCD this week. Metallic should be installed tomorrow. Installed one in GoT and TWD. I picked the LCD because you can customer selection of 49 different color hues and three different display effects (classic dots, high-definition upscaling, and scan lines) and of course download firmware for your game it's going to be mounted in. Hope this helps some. This was my 1st purchase so I'm no expert.

So now I gotta spend another $400.....
How difficult is the install?

Very easy to install. I'm slow and took about 30 mins.

Quoted from Shredso:

Tell me about the 3D printed box please. I used weather stripping on my AC/DC and that worked OK. I know they sell a shroud but I think it's $30.

I measured the opening and added about 12mm to height and width. I printed it in two sections because it's about 15" long. I had tabs on it and put double sided tape and put it on acrylic screen when it was in place. Made it 3/4" (19.06mm).
I'll get better measurements tomorrow not at home now.

I had a 42" TV I was throwing away. Removed the light defuse material from it and made a set yesterday. There are two sheets in tv's. Cut sheet at 14" one end and 10" other. That made 2 sheets the same size. Creased sheets at 9.5" down to 5.5" and folded over rails and made another crease. Next set I'll made scores in material to make it easier.

Quoted from Spelunk71:

No. I went through a bunch of fuses, gave up trying, and emailed them about the problem. Still waiting to hear back.

I have three knockers in my PBL shopping cart, was making sure I didn't need anything else before making purchase. Now I'll continue shopping and make sure all good before checking out. Thanks for the last few posts.
