Quoted from northvibe:

the lollipop ones from stern you can install aftermarket and not use screws on the flipper round section. I was going to do that as I don't want/like to screw into the decal/side. Like those skull ones...love that one but don't want to screw it into the cab :/

You don't have to screw it in if you don't want to. Just use a small piece of double sided stick tape at the bottom of the curve on the rail below the button. That will hold it securely while not damaging the decal if you wanted to change the rails down the road.

Those purple lollipop side rails, legs and hinges on Metalica look awesome. The Refinery's Purple Monster was amazing!

I'm actually in talks with a company to try to get them to vend at Pintastic New England so people around here have someone who can custom powder or chrome their pin hardware. Gabe wants to do all his hardware and habitrails on Metalica in the purple.

Quoted from MustangPaul:

That sounds like a good idea, just make sure they know how picky us pinball people are.

Hey Paul. Just saw this. Yeah, this company is a great family business right in the heart of Boston. They do all kinds of custom parts and vehicle work. They've even done work on pinball machines and jukeboxes before. They're stunned that they could have this great new revenue stream of business come in the door from New Englander's that they never really considered before.

I told them that if they come and vend at Pintastic New England to show off their powder coat and chrome work, they will get some good business that over time will ramp up seriously once the word is out on how great their work is and prices are.

I talked to them about price and I'm hoping they can come up with solid prices for the pin community. I'll update this and the Pintastic thread if things get finalized.

Whew this thread has picked up some speed and it's positive
Anyways, just got my pbr purple armor man it looks sweet! Pic doesn't show it well but pbr's site does. I still have to get the legs on.

Looks beautiful T. They look blue in that pic. Take a couple more shots after you get the legs on. We want to see that beautiful purple color! The Purple is definitely the way to go on Metalica. You should get your habitrails done. KILLER!

Quoted from MustangPaul:

I hope it works out and they give you a little discount. No more shipping parts for the locals is always a plus too.

Yes, no shipping saves a lot of money right there.

Gabe and I both have games we want powdered out. Gabe wants to do his Metalica and I my wife's Wheel of Fortune. We told him to give us a great price on it and we'll take our games, put them in his booth for everyone to see the quality of their work and play the machines and you'll get some orders for sure.

They're very intrigued by that because that's us REALLY trying to help them out. We WANT a local powder coater!

Quoted from tadowhere:

I'm really happy I pulled the trigger to get the armor as it looks like a different, much better pin now

Yes, Metalica in the purple looks amazing! No doubt about it.

Quoted from tadowhere:

Who does the habit rails?

There's a some guys on Pinside that do them. The refinery included. Shoot them an e-mail and ask them for a price. GL.

Quoted from MustangPaul:

Pinsider Pinchroma I believe.

Alex does do it and he's a great powder coater. Does great work. but I think he's swamped with JJP work. Try reaching out to him with a PM. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Quoted from shovelhed:

Pinchroma is the best hands down. PM him he can send you pics of his work.

You don't need pics of Alex's work. Just look at the powder coat on a WOZ.
