Has someone posted a list of mods and protective addons for Metallica Pro / Premium- LE somewhere? I think it would be a great idea to have one post or thread listing everything available and where to get it from. If done already please point me to the spot, thanks.

Quoted from btw75:

I don't think there is consensus. Watch your sparky magnet, make sure it's adjusted - consider mylar. plastic protectors if you want, specifically by sparky which keeps the airballs in control around that magnet. For the right scoop, I use the mantis-style but others use a cliffy. For mods, the only must have for the Prem/LE is the captive ball instead of the newton block.

Very good advice and noted.

The biggest mistake I made since owning MET Pro LED is to give it a real good cleaning. Game plays so much faster then NIB it's painful. Another reason the game has stayed enjoyable for me to own.

Best game so far (Before Cleaning) is over 800Million. All four CIU's finished and EOL lit to collect. Haven't been close to that since cleaning it good. Settings unchanged from game #1. No EB's, Tight Tilt, Competition mode running. After cleaning I can barely hit 200Million

I thought I read in another post somewhere that Lyman is working on another update for MET. What could he possibly add to make this game better? More wizard or mini wizard modes please.

Might be adding a mode to each band member when you complete one is a guess of mine.

If you are a DIY guy and wanna save like 50% you could go the SMARTDMD route
Check the threads on this from pinball miked. Awesome work from him

Any video of this in action?

Quoted from PanzerFreak:

Are these the rumored "band member modes" that have been talked about for a while? That would be awesome!

Could be as lame as adding Super Bumpers / Ramps / Orbits / Targets or go bonkers with actual additional modes with objectives.

Which DMD is this? Where can I purchase one? Thanks in advance

The one you referring to is the SmartDMD. http://www.pinballrevolution.com/threads/smartdmd-metallica-teaser-video.3109/
Which may not even be for sale anymore?

Hard to tell, thanks.

I'm still debating on getting the color display for my Met Pro/LED. Sure looks great that is a given.

Quoted from ScrewMan:

Not that deep after this month. Not only are the holiday expenses killer but both of my kids b-days are in December....just put an order in for side mirrors. Think I will also need the coffin decal!
Pin is in and playing fast...love it!

If your pin is playing fast now wait till you give the game a proper cleaning. I made that mistake and my game plays faster then NIB. Just now getting back to hitting 200Million plus point games again on it a month later.

Quoted from MustangPaul:

I don't know about that, some of these guys put thousands and thousands of games on their machines.

I agree as some owners like myself actually play games owned instead of letting them collect dust.

Quoted from Arcade:

Always interested in do it yourself mods.
That is how I got my flipper buttons lit up cheap.
So post away.

So agree, let us know what is needed and a pic of your results, thanks.

That post in the back looks to be a ball deflector in case the ball gets stuck on top of the Up/Down post underneath it. Without that post there the stuck ball may hit the glass during a ball search. That's my guess to why the post is there.

Metallica pro I bought in August 2015 was my 1st NIB game purchase. I really didn't think I'd still have it this long due to being able to play one where ever I go. The game is just that fun while being rewarding to play over and over. I have had EOL lit to go one time and couldn't start it. So the trek continues.

I Cranked It up today and did pretty well considering a tight tilt and no EB's.
The new CIU mode software makes it very satisfying to play now. Many thanks Lyman.

Quoted from RobF:

Yes. Pro is default to not hold the ball. Prem/Le is the opposite.

I tried the game with setting to hold ball but found it way to easy to play a one ball mball until it got released so turned the setting to off. (On the Pro)

Quoted from chuckwurt:

I will never understand this. It will seriously take you 30 seconds to change this.

Fully agree as I turn them off each new update.
