Sold out. The one I’m selling is what tilt has now.
Quoted from Dee-Bow:BTW, they were all great suggestions.. but i think you picked the best possible choice. I now read the full name of the thread ever time! It's a perfect theme for this pin. It's an awesome call-out in the game annnd it's also a great album. \m/
Remember when there was talk about RTLLE like MOPLE? I was always hoping for a vault that had this like the SM vault. But no way now with all the games coming out and the switch to spike.
Quoted from newpinbin:Is there a hidden song once you reach end of the line?
Yes
Quoted from pinballjah:New custom glass cover for my Metallica. Can be purchased from Freeplay69. Fits perfectly!

Why cover up your insanely beautiful playfield with a carpet of metallica....?
Quoted from JvdS:Why cover up your insanely beautiful playfield with a carpet of metallica....?
Dust if not being played. But I agree, I hate putting my bankey on METLE 199!
Quoted from newpinbin:How do you obtain the hidden song? Once obtained are you able to select it during future gameplays?
Once you have achieved and played the end of the line wizard mode once, the song, the end of the line, is available as a selection at the start of a new game.
Quoted from ktm450:Once you have achieved and played end of the line once, the song, the end of the line, is available as a selection at the start of a new game.
Thanks. I have a long way to go.
Quoted from JvdS:Why cover up your insanely beautiful playfield with a carpet of metallica....?
Quoted from finnflash:The cover should be a picture of the playfield, problem solved. Your welcome
This is funny because in the Iron Maiden thread someone actually made the carpet of their games room a picture of the playfield including flippers and everything. Some people were saying it looked silly and now I'm reminded of that after reading this thread.

Quoted from Roostking:Finally putting regular Metallica c9de back on, as I had the awesome Christmas version for awhile now lol.

Huh… you still have the originally dot matrix display..
How many out there still have the non-color dot matrix installed? Curiosity: What are your reasons to keep it on?
I still have the original display.
Initially my thought process was, I didn’t see the value in changing a working display for pretty much the same, except with colour.
Still not sure I can justify $500USD to change display to colour. Especially since I’m never really looking at it while playing. Doesn’t directly add anything to the gameplay.
That’s my reasoning.

Its more like I need the money for other non working peojects lol. I will upgrade some day, they really do look great!

I was too cheap to upgrade, family bought for my birthday last year. Amazing upgrade, I should of done day 1

I still have it.
Would color look better, sure, but the display is so bright, sharp and detailed it just doesn't bother me. Maybe one day...
Interesting responses… all valid with great points.
Metallica was my first NIB and I went with others were suggesting what to do. I will say after doing it, seeing standard dot matrix sometimes makes me always want to visualize that in color.
I had Tales from the Crypt without color and it was fine, but I knew it would shine with color.
It’s not cheap for sure.
Color DMD does the art justice... the art on the DMD is so good and when it's all one color you just can't get the same level of appreciation for the detail as when its in color. I think it's one of the best, if not the best mod you can do for this game.
Totally agree that a colour DMD is an essential mod for this game. I have a Premium Monster, and as heavily modded as it now is (owned for 6.5yrs), the colour DMD would definitely be what I would seriously recommend to all owners who haven't done it already.
Yes. It's $500. For Americans. And it's worth every cent. As an Aussie, with exchange rates, it was worth significantly more. No regrets here at all.
Do it. You know you want to. I mean, you already purchased a pinball machine for home. Self indulgent is where all us owners are at. And, we all love being pinball owners.

I love colordmd, and have pretty much every mod for MET,, this hammer being my fave

Agreed. Color DMD and Pinwoofer enhance the overall experience tremendously. Not cheap, but definitely worth it.

There's pin2dmd that is a decent amount cheaper and looks really good too. It's what I went with since getting a real colorDMD here in Canada is super expensive.

Yeah agreed, of all the mods I'd say Aurich's hammer is up there at the top of the list with a color DMD.

This was exactly what happen for me as well.

Yep...most of my games have ColorDMD, PinWoofer and PinStadium. As you say, not cheap, but worth the cost.
Even though we aren't focused on the DMD while playing (as someone pointed out), the light show, audio and animations of frying Sparky in color is worth the price of admission alone! (while the ball is being held by the magnet).

The stock hammer is awesome to me. . The hammer mod is dumb

Too funny! You prefer an oversized blowmold plastic hammer?

Quoted from PinFever:it is a good one yes, got the faces in it. If it came color painted it would have been even better but you can get modfather to paint it . Hey if the wood hammer appeals to you buy it . I like the hammer as is . I am sure opinions go both ways and mine is to the original. No issues . Color dmd is a must yes
I have Aurich’s wood hammer, but the original hammer molded was a tribute to And Justice For All album…
It was the artwork added inside the CD pamphlet.. I was obsessed trying to free hand the drawing.
I have mine at my work office. It’s a nice mold, but too big for the space. Aurich’s design improves that issue.

Ok convinced... METLE #199 will get the much needed upgrade!
Curious to see if anybody has ever put the creeping death mirror blades on their machine? Are they worth the heavy price?
Quoted from MNPinner:Curious to see if anybody has ever put the creeping death mirror blades on their machine? Are they worth the heavy price?
I have them and they're pretty sharp especially with the UV light bars. But they came with the pin when I bought it. I'm not sure I'd pay the $400+ for the set up vs $79 or whatever the regular side blades run. That's color DMD or Pinsound pricing. Kind of a personal decision that only you can make though.

Thank you very much for speaking up about this. I totally agree. All the mod hammers I have seen look like some viking lore thing that do not resemble metallica at all. I do think the stock could look better but havn't found it yet.
Quoted from Roostking:Ok convinced... METLE #199 will get the much needed upgrade!
Yes! Good on you. As my wife said to me as soon as I'd installed it and turned it back on. "It shouldn't make that much difference. But it really lifts your machine. Why didn't you do it before?"
Well, actually, because you spat the dummy at me when I went to order it. Then I got her to buy it for my birthday. The irony was lost on her. Winning!

I just got the notice from Pinside to change the batteries in my machine and I was just wondering if changing the batteries will wipe all of the settings/scores? If so is there any way to do it without losing them? thanks

Change them with the machine on and you will be fine.
You don’t really have to change these. These Lithium cells can run 5-10 years easily. Just change them when the system looses your Highscores.
There is no risk with this type of batteries.

Hey you guys! My dad and I recently purchased a puppets LE and really like these side blades. I see them online on pinball metal but can’t figure out if they stopped selling them because I can’t purchase them. Anyone know how I can get these or is anyone selling theirs?

Hi there. I got these for my Premium Monster. From Pinball Center Germany. I ordered and received them late last year. They fit really well and feel good to the touch during play.
True, very true. They aren't the same. But the overwhelming similarity means you could mod the powder coat colour, and maybe decal the "Master of Puppets" down the side.
After looking for other side armours, getting excited, then seeing "out of stock" when I tried to order, it may well be your best bet at this stage.
Good luck whichever way you go.
