If you mean F12 and F13, they both tested fine with my multimeter. Unless there is something else I should check? This is my first stern so I'm still learning where stuff is. Since the CPU/sound board doesn't have fuses I figured I was screwed.

Played this a few times on a poorly maintained machine this weekend. I'm not very good, but damn it if I don't love listening to Battery or Ride the Lightning blaring while playing. Harder to play while headbanging lol.

Anyone get out to the Bay Area or happen to catch the Amazon streams of MET 40th shows over the weekend?
Last night kicked butt.

I have not heard of this , thanks for the heads up .On another note ,when I first knew I wanted to get in pinball , a friends brother gave me his first run Met pro to sell. I wasn’t ready to purchase a pin just yet and he didn’t want to throw any money in it .I just tinkered ,cleared some switches and cleaned it as best I could .Ever since that pin sold I knew it was a must have and knew it would be a keeper , so I went for some pins that would be more attractive to my wife to ease her in to this face paced hobby .Fast forward to this past Saturday and I finally got “Made” thanks to Brobra! He found me a top shelf prem and took away my LZprem (I’ll be hunting down a LE when I can swing it ).Can’t even describe how much fun we’ve been having .I gave it a good cleaning/waxing today and it just exploded .I have some reading to do but I’m fucking stoked to add this to the lineup .I mean FUCKING STOKED!!!!!

Yes and it was an amazing 2 shows! I went both nights at the Chase Center, great seats. Both nights I kept wanting to kick my own ass for selling my Pro. Fingers crossed for a vault edition that will never happen.

Do it, you won't regret it! The chrome looks insane in person, the LE should have come that way from the factory. Contact Chris at HotRodArcade and he'll hook you up. Don't forget to ask for the chrome screws for the side rails. I couldn't find a chrome shooter rod housing for my METLE that the Stern shooter rod fit through, let me know if you find a source!

I had to share some of the photos that I just received from @mrtattooz. What an awesome machine he has, and fluorescent green was a perfect choice!

FYI - The new episode of the Poor Man's Pinball Podcast has a great interview with Dirty Donny covering his career, his relationship with Metallica, the Stern Metallica art, and more. (neat trivia - he did a one off retheme of Earthshaker for James before being recommended to Stern.)

I didn't realize his caricatures on the translight were in the '70s 'ratfink' style, but now I get it.

Fun Fact: That Earthshaker you refer to was the Earthshaker my friends and I spent our high school days playing almost every weekend at our friends house back in the 90’s. When our buddy’s dad sold it years later and we heard who it was going to and what it was going to be turned into, our jaws dropped.

I got to play that ES at CAX some years ago. Got the #2 score on it. Very cool conversion.

Hey Joe .I’ve ordered from you multiple times and will always as you guys rock .I’m trying to find info on settings as I purchased that pin in the post above with them installed already .I have a small button controller that I’m not sure if it’s for the blades or not .After seeing these live now I want them for my IMDN but want to understand them first .If you can send something to me I’d appreciate it and to all Met owners look long and hard at these as the videos do not do it Justice .They add so much !

I have most of Donny’s blacklight posters, I love his style. I’d say Aerosmith was his best Stern project, though I know in my heart that MET a is a better game. So I had to have them both. The Donny Gilles age was the best one for Stern.

Came so close to pulling the trigger on an Aerosmith Premium/ LE so many times.

Met + Tron LE - Borgs finest - love em both

I’m sure this group has answered this question a hundred times but I pick up Metallica on Monday and it is my first music pin. I can’t read all 389 pages of this thread so I hope you’ll forgive me for asking but I was wondering if it is possible to add more music to this game beyond the 12 tracks it comes with? Thanks for your help

Nope. You can only replace the existing tracks.

I’m not familiar with the process but I think “Pinbrowser” is the software you need. Search for it, there’s an entire thread about it.

Put the game in switch test to determine which switch isn’t working.

Fair chance you have magnetized balls that are hanging up in the trough.

Micro switch in the trough may need adjusted. Have to go to switch test and see which one isn’t registered

These unfortunately aren't being sold anymore anywhere as far as I know. Mezel Mods, Pinball Refinery, had them a few years back. You might be able to reach out and see if they have one floating around anymore, otherwise they do come up on ebay from time to time , but not often

I just searched that quick to post something. There are 12 volt versions, like this one. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Colorful-Xmas-5M-Flexible-Neon-LED-Car-Light-Decor-Party-EL-Wire-12V-Inverter/131416150?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=101023046

I installed the EL paper on my Iron Man armor years back, very simple to install.
